Birthdays In July Frank Beck 7/9 Cindy Kasharis 7/17 Jim Owen 7/23 Mike Henleben 7/24 John Whetsell 7/28 From Your Lion Family Cupcakes Courtesy of The Sunshine Boys Milt Brand & Tim Dunn Membership Count By Definition The Lion Tamer shall have charge of and be responsible for the property and paraphernalia of the Club, including flags, banners, gong, gavel, song books and badges. Each item shall be put in its proper place before each meeting and returned to the proper storage area after each meeting. The Lion Tamer shall act as Sergeant-at-Arms at meetings, see that those present are properly seated, and distribute bulletins, favors and literature as required at Club and Board meetings vvvv In reality, the Lion Tamer is the unsung Lion that ensures the meeting is readied for the presiding officer to chair a function that will be well run, effective and entertaining. Unfortunately, too often the meeting site is taken for granted and that it just happens. Lion Vince has been a Lion for 10+ years and our Club Lion Tamer for all of them; he was the District Lion Tamer during the tenure of G0vernor Alan Bethel and is a regular attendee at District and State Conventions. Recently, he sponsored two new members Frank and Melissa Beck. In summary, he has been a person of extreme dependability and dedication in carrying out his member responsibilities and in representing the Roswell Lions Club. The good news for the RLC is that he has volunteered to remain as Tamer for the 2015-16 Lion year. In recognition of this service, Lion Vince was awarded the President s Medal of Appreciation at the 2015-16 Officer Installation dinner. We as a club are fortunate thank you Lion Vince for your continued exemplary service.
