Implant Design & Surface Simply Smarter Implant Design The InterActive implant body features a straight top 1/3rd with micro-grooves to improve soft tissue attachment and microthreads to increase stability and reduce stress in the crestal bone area. The quadruple-lead micro-threads transition to double-lead buttress threads over the bottom 2/3rds which is tapered to facilitate insertion into an undersized socket in soft bone providing compression that increases initial stability (G. Niznick: Clinical Oral Health 2000 Achieving Success in Soft Bone ). The slight body taper of the apical 1/3rd further facilitates self-tapping insertion into dense bone without over-compression. InterActive features an internal hex conical connection with a 12 bevel for compatibility with InterActive as well as Nobel Biocare s conical connection prosthetics1. InterActive prosthetics and healing components are designed with matched transgingival concave emergence profiles to shape soft tissue for improved esthetics. InterActive Fixture-Mount & IQity Impression Technique InterActive Implant is mounted on a revolutionary two-piece color-coded fixture-mount. The top fails at excessive torques to protect the interface during insertion and detaches in impression for the accuracy of an open-tray transfer with the simplicity of a closed-tray. The fixture-mount may be shortened at the line to function as a final preparable abutment. A healing collar is included in each vial. Each implant is packaged in a sterile vial Vial labels provide two tear-off labels for records Cap labels are color-coded by platform diameter Drop implant assembly out of vial onto a sterile surface Remove implant assembly with a hex tool (HT2.3 or HT2.7) Place implant into osteotomy Fixture-mount top fails at 90Ncm (3.0mm platform) or 126Ncm (3.4mm) Index fixture-mount flat to labial or buccal Hex will then be aligned for proper abutment placement Occlude fixture-mount screw access hole & take an impression The top of the fixture-mount will be retained within the impression Loosen screw to remove the remaining abutment Attach cover screw and extender for one-stage surgery Suture tissue. Clinical & Laboratory Procedures for Contoured Abutments Orienting the 15º Angled Abutment The flat side of the Fixture Mount/Transfer [Fig. 1] and the angle of the 15 abutment [Fig. 2] are manufactured to align with the flat of the implant s hex. Option 1: Attaching an Angled Abutment and chairside procedures for preparation Attach the abutment with the 1.25mmD Hex Tool Remove the Healing Collar with a 1.25mmD Hex Tool Mark the required modifications to achieve appropriate clearance Detach the abutment with the 1.25mmD Hex Tool Attach the abutment to the corresponding Implant Analog.
