Please come and join him and enjoy his delicious daily lunches and weekly specials and just plain fun. Please support his efforts. The Club is open on Monday from Noon until?? The Vintage Band will be playing from 8:00 to 12:00 PM and we will have a Mitten Tree Party. Please bring a pair of mittens, a scarf, or a hat to place on our Mitten Tree to help those less fortunate in our Community. The party is open to all members and guests. SPECIAL NOTE: The band, Rangamut, will be having a fund drive to benefit local families. Please bring a non-perishable food item on Saturday for the following dates: 6th, 13th, and 20th. BUD ISRAELS SCHOLARSHIP FUND A reminder to our members, anyone can make a donation or memorial contribution on behalf of loved ones at anytime, to be used as part of the Bud Israels Scholarship Fund. All donations are greatly appreciated, as we plan to continue with our scholarship efforts for years to come. Donations or memorial contributions should be directed to the: R. E. A. C. Checks should be made out to: FOE 3531 Scholarship Fund Our next R.E.A.C. luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 9 th at the Club at Noon. We will celebrate our annual Picnic in December. Fried Chicken will be furnished, so please bring a dish to pass. Also, to celebrate the Holiday, we are asking each person who attends to bring an unwrapped NEW TOY to donate to our TOYS FOR TOTS Box. The R.E.A.C. Members have donated $200.00 and will purchase food to help fill our Food Drive Boxes for the needy of our Community. The delivery will be December 15 th. TRUSTEES CORNER FUNERAL LUNCHEONS For any information concerning Funeral Luncheons, please contact Sue Kean at (269) 270-1444. ROOM RENTAL INFORMATION For information about the rental of the Activity Room for any party (i.e.; Wedding, Birthday, or Anniversary) please contact, Butch Weatherwax, who can be reached at (269) 271-1483, or leave a message for Butch at the Club. TUESDAY NIGHT BURGER COOKS We are still looking for volunteers to help out on Tuesday Hamburger Nights. If you would be interested in cooking Hamburgers on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, please contact Sue Kean at (269) 270-1444 or talk with her at the Club for details. The hours for our Tuesday Night Hamburgers are 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. R.E.A.C stands for Retired Eagles Activity Club. Any Aerie or Auxiliary member over 55 and retired can join R.E.A.C. The annual membership fee is $5.00. Come visit any second Tuesday of the month and become a member. November was nomination month for the new year 2015. All present Officers were elected to serve one more year. R.E.A.C. ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE R.E.A.C. will be sponsoring our annual Food Drive for local charities beginning November 1 st, 2014. We have collected and delivered non-perishables, paper products, and toiletries to our Community for our November Food Drive. We are still collecting more items to be delivered again on December 15 th, 2014. Boxes are available at the Social Room entry. SPECIAL NOTICE Due to the rising cost of doing business, it is imperative that we raise our Friday Dinner Prices! The cost of meat has gone so high that we can no longer offer our meals unless we raise the cost. Effective January 1, 2015 our Friday Dinner prices will be $9.00 for a regular meal and $8.00 for our Specials. We will strive to serve the best meals as usual, including our wonderful homemade desserts and coffee and we hope that we can count on you to continue to support our Auxiliary efforts! 2

EAGLE RIDERS CLUB The meetings for this group are the 3 rd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Club. The monthly meeting will be held on Monday, December 15 th. Eagle Riders game days began on Saturday, November 8th and what a turn-out we had! We had 18 participants, and we surely hope this will continue throughout the Winter months. Our next Game Day will be held on Saturday, December 13 th with Registration at Noon. Games begin at 1:00 PM. We will have Corn Hole and Shuffleboard tournaments and Hot Dogs or Sloppy Joes will be available during the games. Please Note: Game days will be the second Saturday of each month through Spring. Please mark your calendars, bring your friends, and plan to join us for a fun filled afternoon. We look forward to raising money for our charity Challenger Little League. PENNY RAFFLE TIME The Auxiliary 2 nd Penny Raffle to help raise money for the Auxiliary began on October 1 st. There are only a few raffle tickets left, so if you have not bought yours as of this date, it is time to purchase them! The Winners will be announced at our annual Cookie Walk on December 5 th. The drawing will be at 7:00 PM. The ticket prices for this raffle range from one penny to $5.00. Tickets are numbered 1 through 500. The prizes are as follows: 1 st Prize $200 2 nd Prize $150 3 rd Prize $100 Please support our Auxiliary by purchasing your tickets! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Ladies Auxiliary to help with the many expenses incurred by the Club each and every month! 3 NASCAR RACE PARTY Our annual End of the Season NASCAR Race Party was held Sunday, November 16 th. Everyone, who attended, had a great time and as usual the food was excellent! The 2014 NASCAR Chase Winner is: Kevin Harvick. A Big Thank You to all who attended and gave such good support to our Club.. UPCOMING EVENTS COOKIE WALK COMING SOON The Annual Cookie Walk is scheduled for Friday, December 5 th. This is one of the Auxiliary s biggest fundraisers of the year! Auxiliary Members are being contacted by phone as a reminder to bake up some cookies for the event. However, if you do not get a call, you are still encouraged to donate some cookies to help out. All cookie donations are greatly appreciated. The sale will begin late afternoon and will run through the dinner hours. Carol and her Gang will be serving our famous Fish Fry for our Friday Night Dinner! Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for a great meal and take home some good homemade cookies! If you don t bake, please come and support the Auxiliary with the purchase of cookies. There will be a small Craft Show along with the annual Cookie Walk, and don t forget: The Penny Raffle Winners will be drawn at 7:00 PM on December 5 th!

NEW YEARS EVE TICKETS ON SALE Tickets for our annual New Year s Eve Party went on sale on Friday, November 28 th! The Boxes are now available for our annual Toys for Tots Drive. Please donate an unwrapped new toy to add to our boxes. The boxes will be picked up sometime around December 14 th. Please consider a donation of a toy to help those children less fortunate in our area. The cost is $30.00 per person which includes Dinner, Music provided by JIMMY MARTIN S RIVER RIDGE BAND, Party Favors and Champaign at Midnight! Tickets can be purchased at the Bar. Please sign up early to let us plan accordingly. The deadline for sign up will be Saturday, December 20th. CHILDREN S CHRISTMAS PARTY Our annual Children s Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 14 th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The cost is $3.00 per child, Ages 0-10. Each member is to furnish a wrapped gift, tagged with the First and Last Name for each child attending the party; the cost is not to exceed $10. A Signup Sheet will be available at the bar on Friday, November 14 th. Deadline for sign up will be Saturday, December 6 th. There are NO Exceptions! Please sign up early as we need to have a head count as soon as possible for shopping reasons! Please remember, you and all members of your party must be paid in full, before a table will be assigned for the number of people you are expecting to have in attendance. No Exceptions! The door will be open at 6:30 PM for ticket holders only. The band will begin at 7:00 PM. AUXILIARY COOK BOOK SALE The Auxiliary is considering publication of a New Cook Book to be written and sold to our members and friends. We would like to have Auxiliary Members submit their favorite recipes, so we can build this book. There is a Bright Blue Box set up by the Social Room door for any recipes to be submitted. We would like to be sure your name is on the recipe and if possible, indicate the number of servings the recipe will serve. Any and all recipes submitted will be included in this book! Let s get those recipes together and submitted so we can begin this new project. We would like to have the book ready for sale by Mother s Day of 2015! Please Help by Submitting your Recipes Soon! 4

CHRISTMAS CARDS ARE ON SALE DECEMBER DOORMEN Once again this year, we will be selling our Christmas Greeting Cards. This card is a Poster with Christmas Characters printed on them. You purchase your Poster for $5.00 and it will be posted in the Club for all to enjoy. Check with the Bartenders or any Officer to purchase your card. We will post them as they are sold. This is a great way to support your Auxiliary efforts!
