THANK YOU FOR BEING A TABLE HOST! Thank you for agreeing to serve as a host/hostess for the Center for Dialog & Resolution s (CDR) annual friend and fundraising breakfast on Thursday, October 18 th! Being a table host is a crucial role and comes with the responsibility of inviting people to learn about and support the mission of the Center for Dialog & Resolution. Our event goal is to have 25 full tables of 10 guests each, ready to enjoy the stories of impact on the recipients of our services as well as those who give their time and mediation skills to the Center for Dialog & Resolution. We intend to raise $60,000 for CDR to ensure the Center s continued record of dedicated service to our community. Why being a table host is important The Center for Dialog & Resolution s vision is Differences are resolved peacefully and respectfully. This event is the perfect opportunity for you to invite friends, business associates, and community leaders to begin building a relationship with the Center. Your guests will join other community partners in pursuit of this most important vision. Your personal connection with your guests will help them become engaged and support our message. What will happen at the event? During our event, attendees will hear first-hand testimonials about our programs and their impact on the Pierce County community. Though our breakfast event will aid community members in learning more about our mission and the people we serve, it is a fundraiser. As you invite, consider friends and acquaintances that have the capacity to support our organization in a formidable way. Let your guests know that the program is timely and will end promptly; they will be in their car and on their way no later than 8:30 am. How do I invite guests? Call generous friends, colleagues, and family members committed to productive dialog and who you believe might be inspired by the work of the Center. Sponsors are covering the cost of the breakfast so that every attendee s gift will go to support our work in mediation, facilitation and dialog. Please ensure that your guests Center For Dialog & Resolution: Annual Event Table Host Guide Page 2 of 6

understand that they will have an opportunity to make a generous donation to support the Center at the event. Consider your network of contacts. Do you know any of the following? Attorneys Business owners Educators Real Estate Agents Mortgage Brokers Customer Service Providers Tax Advisors Community Organizers How many guests should I invite? Invite as many people as you would like, however 12-14 people will do. There will be ten chairs at each table. If you have more than ten, we will seat additional guests at a nearby table. If you end up with less than ten, even due to last-minute cancellations, don t worry we may have extra guests that we can fill in at your table. How much are guests expected to donate? Although there is no suggested minimum donation, let your guests know that we will be asking them to make a generous donation to our innovative and affordable services that allow for collaborative resolution of differences at the Center for Dialog & Resolution. They may choose to make a contribution at the breakfast and/or pledge a monthly gift. How do I register my guests for the event? Please register your guests in one of these ways: You or your guests can register electronically on our website at www.centerforresolution.org Fill out the Table Host Potential Guest List (confirmed) and send to Reception@CenterForResolution.org Call our office at: (253) 572-3657 If any of your guests cancel, please contact us ASAP so we can make any needed adjustments.
