PURE BRAZIL BRAND PRODUCTS WHAT ARE THE PURE BRAZIL BRAND PRODUCTS? PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients contains eight micronutrient elements essential to plant growth and health. Five (calcium, cobalt, magnesium, manganese and Zinc) are in the form of phosphites, two (copper and nickel) are in the form of EDTA chelates to maintain solubility, and one (molybdenum) is in the form of sodium molybdate. The product contains 58.4% by weight of phosphorus pentoxide, P 2 O 5, which is the agronomist s way of expressing phosphorus content. This is a solid crystallized product. PURE BRAZIL BRAND Calcium/Boron contains calcium phosphite mixed with boron. It is applied approximately 2 weeks before blooming for the purpose of improving Calcium/Boron, and as a result, productivity. It contains 14.5% calcium, 3% boron, and 52% P 2 O 5. It is a solid crystallized product PURE BRAZIL BRAND Spray Adjuvant is added to the spray solution causing it to completely wet the leaf surface during spraying. Without SPRAY ADJUVANT, water has a tendency to form droplets on the leaf surface. With SPRAY ADJUVANT, the leaf surface is completely wetted which increases the surface area through which the micronutrients can be absorbed, thereby increasing efficiency. It is a concentrated liquid product. PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL is a highly soluble source of potassium for high productivity plants. It is the most rapidly and completely absorbed source of potassium available, and it does not contain chlorine. KSOL does not contain phosphite, but can be mixed and applied simultaneously with the other phosphite products if desired. Applications of KSOL should be divided into two applications: 1)20 30 days before flowering and 2) 14 days before flowering. The second application may be applied together with Calcium/Boron. KSOL contains 44% of K 2 O. It is a solid crystallized product. ESSENTIAL MICRONUTRIENTS Derived from Phosphites Just as the human body needs vitamins for good health, plants need micronutrients for good health and maximum productivity. Especially in fast growing crops, it is essential to provide a periodic supply of these micronutrients so that they are available for growth, metabolism, and enzyme production. These essential micronutrients are, in alphabetical order, Boron, Calcium*, Chlorine, Copper, Cobalt, Iron, Magnesium*, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel, Sulfur*, and Zinc.

* Calcium, Magnesium and Sulfur are needed by the plant in larger quantities, so they are called secondary macronutrients. WHAT ARE PHOSPHITES? Phosphites are the products of reactions with phosphorous acid that has the formula H 3 PO 3. This is different from phosphoric acid that has the formula H 3 PO 4. The fact that there is one less oxygen atom in phosphorous acid means that there is a great difference in molecular structure. This difference in structure imparts unique characteristics to the molecule. First, only 2 hydrogen atoms are available for neutralization with a corresponding base. Therefore, the formula for the phosphite ion is HPO 3-2. In this form, phosphite is not available for plant metabolism as is the phosphate ion, PO 3-3. Second, phosphite stimulates the plant to produce natural defense mechanisms to combat threats from some diseases. Third, by promoting rapid and complete absorption into the plant, micronutrients essential to growth and overall plant health are available for maximum productivity. WHY USE PHOSPHITES? It is import to understand that the source of a micronutrient has an influence on its performance in the plant. Some are absorbed faster and more completely than others. Laboratory and field tests have proven that PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients derived from their phosphite salts are the fastest absorbed, most completely absorbed and best performing products when compared to common products such as sulfates, chlorides, nitrates, and chelates. HOW DO YOU APPLY PURE BRAZIL BRAND PRODUCTS TO THE PLANT? PURE BRAZIL BRAND products are applied to the crop by foliar application, which means that you dissolve the products in water in the recommended amount and then spray the solution on the leaves and stems using a spray bottle, backpack sprayer, or tractor driven spray tank depending on the size of your crop. You may also apply them by fertigation. CAN YOU USE PURE BRAZIL BRAND ESSENTIAL MICRONUTRIENTS AS A SOURCE OF PHOSPHORUS FOR PLANT NUTRITION? No! As applied, the phosphite in PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients will not be utilized as a plant food. It is essential to maintain your basic macronutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium at their ideal levels using a soil applied fertilizer or hydroponic solution. Additionally, as applied, the quantities of phosphorus in PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients are much lower than is necessary for good

plant nutrition. Over time (days or perhaps weeks), the phosphite applied using Pure Brazil Brand Essential Micronutrients will be oxidized in the plant to phosphate, at which time it will used by the plant for nutrition. It will not accumulate in the plant. CAN I USE TOO MUCH PURE BRAZIL BRAND ESSENTIAL MICRONUTRIENTS? Yes! Follow the instructions regarding how much to put in your spray solution. Using too much product in solution or spraying more frequently than recommended may cause a decrease in productivity. PURE BRASIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients is highly concentrated. HOW MUCH DO I USE? PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients or PURE BRAZIL BRAND Calcium/Boron: In large installations, you should use 100 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients or Calcium/Boron in 100 liters of water. This transforms to 3.32 av. ounces per 25 gallons of water. This is for tractor driven spray tanks. In medium sized installations, you should use 20 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients or Calcium/Boron per 20 liters of water. This transform to 0.667 av. ounces per 5 gallons of water. This is for backpack sprayers. For smaller installations, you should use 4 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients or Calcium/Boron per 5 liters of water. This transforms to 0.133 av. ounces per gallon of water. This is for use in spray bottles. Do not try to make less than 1 gallon of solution, as it is too difficult to accurately weigh the recommended amount without a sophisticated scale. If you have spray solution left over, try spraying it on your home garden. Ideally, you should weigh the products using a precision postage scale. These are widely available at reasonable prices. Many scales can weigh either in avoirdupois ounces or in grams with a precision of 0.1 ounces. If a precision scale cannot be obtained, you can use plastic or stainless steel measuring spoons. For 25 gallons of water, use ¾ of a teaspoon of product. For 5 gallons of water use 1/8 of a teaspoon of product. For one gallon, try to estimate 1/5 of the 1/8 teaspoon. PURE BRAZIL BRAND Spray Adjuvant: PURE BRAZIL BRAND Spray Adjuvant should always be added to your spray solution at a rate of 0.05% 0.1% by volume. For 100 liters of spray solution add 50 to 100 milliliters of Spray Adjuvant or a little bit less than ¾ of a teaspoon per 25 gallons. For 20 liters of spray solution, add 10-20 milliliters of Spray Adjuvant or about 1/8 of a teaspoon per 5 gallons. For 5 liters of spray solution, use 2.5-5 milliliters of Spray

Adjuvant or estimate 1/5 of a 1/8 teaspoon and add this to 1 gallon. Remember, PURE BRAZIL BRAND Spray Adjuvant improves micronutrient foliar absorption. PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL: In large installations, you should use 75 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL in 100 liters of water for each application. This transforms to 2.5 av. ounces per 25 gallons of water. This is for tractor driven spray tanks. In medium sized installations, you should use 15 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL per 20 liters of water. This transforms to 0.50 av. ounces per 5 gallons of water. This is for backpack sprayers. For smaller installations, you should use 3 grams of PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL per 5 liters of water. This transforms to 0.10 av. ounces per gallon of water. For 25 gallons of water, use a little more the 1/2 of a teaspoon of product. For 5 gallons of water use a little less than 1/8 of a teaspoon of product. For one gallon, try to estimate 1/4th of the 1/8 teaspoon. WHEN AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SPRAY? PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients: You may start with the first spray of PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients when the plant has roots and/or the leaves are starting to grow. Then spray every 20 30 days thereafter to maintain a supply of micronutrients that can be utilized for plant growth. Spray enough solution to fully wet the leaves. PURE BRAZIL BRAND Calcium/Boron: PURE BRAZIL BRAND Calcium/Boron should be sprayed approximately 2 weeks before flowering. This will give the plant time to absorb and metabolize these essential elements. PURE BRAZIL BRAND Ksol:

You should apply PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL at various intervals throughout the growing cycle. In general, it should be applied 20 to 30 days before flowering and again approximately 2 weeks flowering. It may be mixed with PURE BRAZIL BRAND CALCIUM/BORON. CAN OTHER PRODUCTS BE SPRAYED TOGETHER WITH PURE BRAZIL BRAND PRODUCTS? While we recommend that PURE BRAZIL BRAND products be sprayed alone, if it is essential to combine other products, be sure to try a jar test where all of the spray solution ingredients are added together in a glass jar with water to see if any precipitate develops. If something precipitates, this combination should not be used, or perhaps the sequence of adding the products may be the problem. In general, the PURE BRAZIL BRAND PRODUCTS should be dissolved first. WHAT ARE THE GUARANTEED PERCENTAGES OF THE ELEMENTS? PURE BRAZIL BRAND Essential Micronutrients: Phosphorus (P 2 O 5 ) 58.4% Zinc 6.0% Calcium 4.0% Manganese 3.5% Magnesium 3.0% Copper 0.6% Cobalt 0.1% Molybdenum 0.1% Nickel 0.1% Zinc, Calcium, Manganese, Magnesium, and Cobalt, are derived from their phosphites. Copper and Nickel are EDTA chelates. Molybdenum is in the form of sodium molybdate. PURE BRAZIL BRAND Calcium/Boron: Phosphorus (P 2 O 5 ) 52.0% Calcium 14.5% Boron 3.0% The calcium is derived from calcium phosphite. The boron is derived from boric acid.

PURE BRAZIL BRAND KSOL: Potassium (K 2 O) The potassium is derived from potassium acetate. DO PURE BRAZIL BRAND ESSENTIAL MICRONUTRIENTS, CALCIUM/BORON, or KSOL CONTAIN ELEMENTS OTHER THAN THOSE STATED? No! PURE BRAZIL BRAND products are pure products. They only contain what is stated above. Often, one will find products stated to be liquid phosphites, but they contain other elements or ions such as sulfate, chloride, or nitrate. This may interfere with the performance of the product as well as the health of the plant. WHERE DO PURE BRAZIL PRODUCTS COME FROM? PURE BRAZIL BRAND solid phosphite products come from the only source in the world for these unique products. Being solid products means that they are highly concentrated and that is why such a small amount is required. Also, being solid products means that we can blend together different elements to attend to the plant s requirements.
