LMActivator Silicone activator and aligner

LMActivator OVERJET* SINGLE TOOTH ANTERIOR CROSSBITE** Before Before After 1 year After 15 days DEEP BITE WITH PALATAL IMPINGEMENT* CROWDING*** Before Before After 1 year After 10 months LM-Activator aligns teeth, activates mandibular growth and expands the arch perimeter in mixed dentition. Advantages Aligns and corrects sagittal and vertical relationships simultaneously. Anatomically designed slots for aligning individual teeth. Possibility to treat in mixed dentition: - Intercept interferences and early signs of malocclusions when the roots and ligaments are still developing - Support healthy growth and development of the face and jaw Patient friendly Made of comfortable and flexible medical grade silicone. Biocompatible (ISO 10993 permanent contact). No coloring agents, PVC, phtalates, softeners, latex, bisphenol-a or fragrance agents. Simultaneous alignment, leveling and anteroposterior correction instead of separate stages. Myofunctional research show a correlation between malocclusions and orofacial dysfunctions. INDICATIONS Recommended Can be considered Deciduous dentition Early mixed dentition Late mixed dentition Early permanent dentition Overjet, overbite Anterior crowding (incisors and canines) Dentoalveolar anterior crossbite of 1-2 teeth Rotated anterior teeth Class II Scissorsbite / Complete mandibular posterior lingual crossbite (i.e. mandibular posterior teeth completely on the lingual side of the maxillary posterior teeth) Gummy Smile (Treatment start before the eruption of permanent maxillary central incisors Open bite (High-model of LM-Activator) Contraindications: Skeletal Class III Midline discrepancy > 3mm* Very narrow upper arch* Palatally impacted teeth* Fully erupted anterior teeth that require torqueing* Teeth requiring intrusion Our results showed distinct improvements in overjet, overbite, sagittal molar relationship, and crowding in the treated subjects. Myrlund, Rita, et al. One year treatment effects of the eruption guidance appliance in 7-to 8-year-old children: a randomized clinical trial. The European Journal of Orthodontics (2014): cju014. http://dx.doi. org/10.1093/ejo/cju014 An advantage of the eruption guidance appliance is that it not only guides the eruption of the teeth but also simultaneously acts on the transversal, sagittal, and vertical relationships of both dental arches. LM-ACTIVATOR MOTIVATIONAL MATERIAL LM-ORTHOSIZER Patient compliance is essential for successful treatment. The first month is crucial in adopting the habit to use the appliance (because creating a habit in general requires 3-4 weeks of regularity). To motivate the patient and his/ her family, age appropriate material is available for both preadolescents and adolescents. It is important to make sure the patient and his/her family understands that irregular use may be equivalent with no treatment at all. LM-Orthor is a measure for aiding the selection of the appropriate size. It measures the distance across the upper incisors (from the distal surface of the left lateral incisor to the distal surface of the right lateral incisor) and indicates the corresponding size. It can be used with or without its handle. ORTHODONTIC HAND INSTRUMENTS The explorer-like end of the instrument can be used for both application and removal of ligatures. Ligatures can be lined up on the lower shank. The forked end is particularly suitable for guiding a ligature ring over e.g. the fourth wing of a bracket. Bending the end of an arch wire can be problematic. Working space is limited and the wire rigid. Double-ended LM-Arch Wire Tucker facilitates the bending. The flattened ball-ends have 1 millimeter holes, where the wire can easily be placed and turned. The blade is long and fits well even in tight places.
