Ambu ACTion Pain Pumps

ACTion Block Pain Pump The Ambu ACTion Block Pump is a disposable pain pump designed to give consistent, customized and non-narcotic pain therapy through a continuous peripheral nerve block catheter. Filter Each tubing set of the ACTion Block Pain Pump is equipped with a 0.2µ filter. The filter ensures patient safety when refilling or replacing the reservoir. Latex Safe & Silicone Free Regulator Flow Rate The ACTion Block Pain Pump can be set to any flow rate between 1-6 ml/hr or 5-15 ml/hr to obtain the best match for the individual patient s post-operative pain needs. The flow rate can be changed as many times as needed or permanently locked if desired Flow Consistency The advanced regulating technology of the ACTion Block Pain Pump produces flow consistencies common to electrical pumps. The ACTion Block Pain Pump is non-electric and user friendly, while maintaining a flow consistency of +/- 5%. Reservoir Fill to Any Volume, Refill or Replace Filling The ACTion Block Pain Pump can be filled to any volume between 50 ml and the indicated max reservoir volume to achieve the desired post-operative pain therapy duration. Refill or Replace When needed, refill the reservoir with additional medication. Alternatively, replace the reservoir with a pre-filled reservoir while leaving the catheter and regulating set in place. Advantages Minimize inventory needs and increase overall hospital cost savings Extend the therapy when needed Dilute concentration as pain subsides Added patient safety by always leaving the catheter connection secure 24 Hour Clinical Hotline - 800-395-2890

ACTion Block Pain Pump MultiBolus II The MultiBolus II was specifically developed for regional anesthesia to manage break through pain following surgical procedures. MultiBolusTM II Delivers up to 6cc of medication in under 1 minute Activation lever only requires 8.8 lbs. of pressure to squeeze Adjustable bolus volumes of 0, 3, 4, 5, 6 ml No priming necessary For added saftey, the unique hydraulic valve prevents continuous parallel flow when the device is not activated

Consistent Infusion Rate/Profile vs Typical Elastomeric Pumps ACTion Block Infusion Profile Uniform flow rate throughout the entire administration Typical Elastomeric Pump Infusion Profile Fluctuation in the administration flow rate (-- 30%) Partial reservoir filling will not affect the accuracy of the average flow rate Protects patients from risk of over infusion and local toxicity Partial reservoir filling will cause a deviation in the average flow rate and therefore is not possible Note: Significant deviation in the consistency of the administration during therapy Mean output, standard deviation and standard error of the infusions pumps over a 10hr time period Pump n Mean StdDev Std Err P value1 On-Q 10 17.3 0.62 0.19 <0.0001 Baxter 10 10.1 0.17 0.05 <0.0001 AMBU 10 9.5 0.09 0.03 <0.0001 World Journal of Anesthesiologym 2014 March 27; 311); n9-123; ISSN 221806182 lonline); Baishideng Publishing Group Co. Note: Pumps were set to a nominal fl ow rate of 12 ml/hr. Independent studies confirm the ACTion Pain Pump is the most consistent Elastomeric Pain Pump in the study.

Pain Pump Accessories Catheter The catheter is designed to provide a continuous flow of anesthetic medication at a highly uniform level all along the surgical wound site. The catheter provides physicians with the ability to determine the actual length of the infusion segment. Only cut-to-size catheter on the market Single piece molded tubing Laser cut fenestration for even distribution Introducer and T-peel needle standard on all ACTion Fuser Pain Pumps NOTE: There are black marks every 10 mm along the catheter s infusing segment. When the infusion segment is cut, it is recommended to make the cut at the edge of the black mark and to record the remaining infusion segment length on the medication stickers. WARNING: Use aseptic technique. Flow Splitter Equally splits flow rate to two separate catheters at all times Accurate flow rates can be delivered to up to Li catheters combining Regulator and Flow Splitter technologies Y-Tubing A simple Y connector and an extra regulator is utilized to independently control flow rates to multiple catheters Procellera Antimicrobial Wound Dressing The Procellera is an absorbent polyester containing silver and zinc that provides an effective microbial barrier. The Procellera has been proven effective against various bacterial and microbial species at the catheter site including MRSA*. *Open Microbiol J. 2014 Feb 21;8:15-21. doi: 10.2174/1874285801408010015. ecollection 2014. Regulator The Regulator can be set to any flow rate between 1-6 ml/hr or 5-15 ml/hr to obtain the best match for the individual patient s post-operative pain needs. Flow rate can be changed as many times as needed or permanently locked if desired Maintains flow consistency of +/- 5%
