Anatomy Module Study Guide Please use this step-by-step study guide and checklist to ensure that you have covered all that you need to learn by the time you come in for the face-to-face Anatomy tutorial. With the Anatomy module, the more that you study the course material, the easier you will find the tutorial and then also the Matwork course. Please ensure you allocate approximately 40 hours of study for this course to ensure that you are completely confident with all aspects of this module. There is a lot of information to learn, and it is all laid out very clearly in both manual and online video formats, so please utilise both effectively. Begin your study by reading through the Bones section (Section 1) of the Anatomy manual (pp.4-26) Learn the anatomical terminology (p.4) Learn about bone structure and function (p.5) Learn about bony features and terminology (p.6) Begin learning the names of the bones 2. Once you have read through the manual, now watch the Bones video on the online training centre with the manual open in front of you. Learn the names of the bones of the vertebral column and where they are positioned in the body (pp.9-15) Learn the names of the bones of the thoracic cage and where they are positioned in the body (pp.16-18) Learn the names of the bones of the shoulder girdle and where they are positioned in the body (pp.19-21) Learn the names of the bones of the upper limb and where they are positioned in the body (pp.21-23) Learn the names of the bones of the pelvic girdle and where they are positioned in the body (pp.24-25) Learn the names of the bones of the lower limb and where they are positioned in the body(pp.26-29) 3. Watch the Bones revision video over and over again on the Online Training Centre you should spend approximately 5 hours revising the content. 2

4. When you feel confident with the Bones content, take your online multiple choice joints precourse exam. You can find the link for the exam on your training centre dashboard. STEP 9 Complete the Postcourse Exam (Estimated time to complete: 1 hour) After you have attended the practical Anatomy tutorial, you will need to complete the Postcourse Exam in order to pass and gain your certificate. You can do this at your leisure, so if you feel you need more time to study prior to taking the exam, that is absolutely fine. The online exam can be found in the online training centre, or by following this link: http://www.studiopilates.com/anatomy-module.html Once you have logged in to the training centre, simply click on the Postcourse Exam button to sit your exam. Please note that once you begin your exam, you cannot save your answers and come back to the quiz at a later time. The passing grade is 80% and once you have completed the exam, you will be able to view your results, as well as any answers you may have gotten incorrect. If you do not pass the exam, simply continue to take the exam until you do pass. 7
