NCMA Values An open exchange of ideas in a neutral forum. Continuing education, training and leadership opportunities through a network of local chapters. Remaining the preeminent source of professional development for contract professionals. Quality volunteer leadership. 6
Community Community (n): A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests and goals (Ref: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com). A social, religious, occupational, or other group sharing common characteristics or interests and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists (Ref: http://www.dictionary.com). 7

Advancing Professionals Community (APC) Established in Spring 2012. Promote the development of individuals in the contract management career field. Bring together diverse professionals that can learn from and build relationships with each other. 10
Advancing Professionals Community (APC) cont. The APC strives to help its members: Connect, learn from and build relationships with contract management professionals across the globe; Share and receive valuable information on topics such as career progression, business successes, etc.; Take advantage of formal and informal mentoring opportunities; Stay connected with issues surrounding the contract management career field; and Gain access to valuable resources to guide your personal and professional development. 11
Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP) Alumni Foster relationships among the CMLDP alumni. Ensure that the CMLDP continues to bring value to both participants and NCMA by remaining current and relevant through participation in NCMA programs and connections among CMLDP alumni. 12
CMLDP Alumni (cont.) The CMLDP Alumni Community strives to: Provide networking opportunities through the development of programs and initiatives that will foster relationships among CMLDP alumni; Offer continued educational opportunities through workshops and training sessions; Support CMLDP fundraising initiatives, including scholarships (in the near future); Serve as an essential link for CMLDP alumni to NCMA, through interaction between chapter members and activities; Create an opportunity to stay connected with NCMA; and Provide leadership opportunities. 13
Women s Forum Established in December 2009. Enhance the development of NCMA through the support of women in the profession. This vision continues to evolve as more and more people become a part of this community. 14
Women s Forum The Women s Forum strives to: Create networking and collaboration opportunities; Ensure accessibility of female leaders in the field; and Provide mentoring for contract management women. 15
