DO NOT ALLOW LIVESTOCK TO GRAZE IN TREATED CROPS AT ANY TIME. Handle with extreme care. Highly toxic by skin contact, inhalation or swallowing. COUNTER FC 15G is rapidly absorbed through the skin. Repeated inhalation or skin contact may, without symptoms, progressively increase susceptibility to COUNTER FC 15G poisoning. Toxic to fish, wildlife and birds. Store under lock and key away from food and feedstuffs. Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Re-entry: Do not enter treated area within 2 days after treatment unless wearing protective clothing. IN CASE OF POISONING, CALL A DOCTOR AND MAKE THIS LABEL AVAILABLE TO HIM/HER. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions, because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal climatic and storage conditions, quality of dilution water, compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the pests to the remedy concerned, as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder further does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned, due to failure of the user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions, which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier in event of any uncertainty. PRECAUTIONS Do not breathe dust or vapour. Wear a mask of a type suitable for COUNTER FC 15G (terbufos) protection. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after accidental skin contact and immediately after working with COUNTER FC 15G. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application operations unless having washed hands and face. Change into clean clothing after working with COUNTER FC 15G. Wash all clothing worn during application thoroughly with soap and hot water before re-use. If handled indoors, provide mechanical exhaust ventilation. Prevent contamination of food, feedstuffs, drinking water, eating utensils, springs, dams and rivers. Destroy empty containers completely and do not re-use for any other purpose. If empty containers are burnt ensure they are completely empty and neither humans nor animals come in contact with the smoke or fumes. Bury any residue of containers as described below: If the containers are to be buried, ensure that water supplies are not contaminated and they are buried in an area where there will be no residue risk in crops or pastures. Bury spillage and wash area thoroughly with a solution containing 500 g soda ash per 5 litres of water to which a water-soluble wetting agent has been added. SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING Weakness, headache, tightness of chest, blurred vision, non-reactive pupils, salivation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. FIRST AID TREATMENT CALL A PHYSICIAN AT ONCE IN ALL CASES OF SUSPECTED POISONING. Ingestion: Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting by touching the back of the throat with finger. Repeat until vomit is clear. Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention. Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If person is not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably not direct mouth-to-mouth, but rather indirect/mechanical. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Only qualified medical personnel should administer oxygen. Get medical attention. Eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of water. Get medical attention. Skin contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing and decontaminate shoes before re-use. Get medical attention. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN Administer Atropine intravenously or intramuscularly (2 to 4 mg) every 10 minutes until fully atropinized as shown by dilated pupils, dry flushed skin and tachycardia. Twenty to 30 mg or more may be required during the first 24 hours. Never give opiates or phenothiazine tranquilizers. Clear chest by postural drainage. Artificial respiration or oxygen administration may be necessary. Observe patient continuously for at least 48 hours. Allow no further exposure to any cholinesterase inhibitor until cholinesterase regeneration has taken place as determined by blood tests. Pralidoxime chloride (2-PAM: PROTOPAM chloride) may be effective as an adjunct to atropine. Use according to label instructions. RESISTANCE WARNING COUNTER FC 15G is a group code 1B insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to COUNTER FC 15G and other group code 1B insecticides. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. These resistant insects may not be controlled by COUNTER FC 15G or any other group code 1B insecticide. To delay insecticide resistance: avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticides from the same insecticide group code. Alternate or tank mix with products from different insecticide group codes, integrate other control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insect control programmes. For specific information on resistance management contact the registration holder of this product. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed. For the period that has to be allowed between last application and harvest, refer to WARNINGS above. COUNTER FC 15G PAGE 3 OF 5
