In depth anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system will be covered in SLHS 588B, Assessment and Rehabilitation of the Balance System. While basic material will be emphasized, current research on special topics will also be discussed. e core concepts in this class will also serve to support the material in SLHS 589R. e two courses will be combined during portions of the semester to reduce redundancy of the material. Please see the Matrix on Learner Objectives at the end of this document. Course Structure: All notes and ancillary materials will be posted on D2L. Material will be discussed in class in the form of structured lectures and discussions. Participation during guided discussion of articles on special topics is expected.
