Welcome to As You Like It It Room Service Dining ORDERING INFORMATION 1. Dial 78888 between 6:30 am and 7:00 pm to place your order with a Room Service Representative. Suggested meal times: Breakfast 06:30 am 7:00 pm (all day) Lunch & Dinner 10:30 am 7:00 pm 2. Our Representative will verify your name, room number and the diet ordered by your physician. 3. Your meal will be specially prepared and delivered to your room within 45 minutes. You may order your meals for the whole day with one phone call to be delivered at the times you specify. 4. Your nurse may give you additional information about timing your meals around medications, tests and therapies. If you are on insulin or other medications, you will need to plan your meal times with your nurse. It is also helpful to have your meals spaced evenly throughout the day. ORDERING FROM OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL Family members or patient caretakers may call in to Room Service to order the patient s meals. Please request a printed copy of this menu from the nursing station or Room Service Representative or find it online at www.meriter.com. Call 417-8888 when ready to order. ROOM SERVICE FOR PATIENTS WITH DIABETES Carbohydrate calories are very important in controlling blood sugar. This table suggests the number of carbohydrate servings to choose at each meal within your assigned calorie level. One serving contains approximately 15 grams of carbohydrate. Calories Carb Servings / Meal 1600-1900 3-4 2000-2300 4-5 The bracketed number after each food item shows how many carb servings are in that item. When placing your order, choose within the range allowed for each meal. Our Room Service Representatives will assist you in this process. If you have any questions about your diet or would like to learn more about healthy eating with diabetes please ask to see a dietitian.
