TAKING FORCE PLATFORM TESTING OUT OF THE LAB AND INTO THE TRAINING COMPLEX AND GYM. ForceDecks provides instantaneous feedback on neuromuscular performance and asymmetries for dynamic and isometric tests. ForceDecks unique auto test detection and 1 click analysis allows data to be collected and processed in under a minute. ForceDecks software facilitates immediate feedback on large numbers of athletes in a squad setting. WHAT IS FORCEDECKS? ForceDecks is an intuitive, easy to use, dual platform solution specifically designed for use in an elite sports environment. ForceDecks enables S&C coaches, sports medicine professionals and sports scientists to test their athletes, analyze and interpret their data in seconds for: PERFORMANCE PROFILING AND INJURY RISK SCREENING FATIGUE-READINESS MONITORING TRAINING AND REHAB PROGRESSION

THE SCIENCE BEHIND FORCEDECKS The company was founded in 2013 by Dr. Daniel Cohen, a sports scientist, and Dr. Phil Graham-Smith, a biomechanist with over 40 years combined experience of force platform testing in elite sport. They developed ForceDecks as a means to turn the slow and complex force platform data analysis process into a simple, quick and intuitive one that accommodates the time constraints of elite sport. WHY FORCEDECKS? ForceDecks software provides immediate feedback on classic markers of performance such as jump height and peak power in the counter-movement jump (CMJ). ForceDecks analysis also provides a deeper insight into the athlete s neuromuscular status and biomechanical strategies by calculating a range of novel bilateral variables and force asymmetries in the eccentric, concentric, and landing phases. These variables can inform and enhance decision making around training prescription, fatigue-readiness monitoring, rehab progress and return to play. Integrating the ForceDecks system into a broader injury prevention and performance program, has reduced injury rates and injury recurrence among our client teams. WHY DUAL-FORCE PLATFORMS? Like single-force platforms, dual-force platforms can be used to assess performance in double leg tests and strength and power asymmetries in unilateral jump and isometric tests. However, they also provide an additional level of intelligence on neuromuscular status by evaluating the force distribution between limbs during double-limb tests, revealing critical information on strength asymmetries and compensatory strategies. ForceDecks can also measure performance and asymmetries in static measures of maximum strength including isometric mid-thigh pull (IMTP), posterior chain, or upper body tests.

The auto-recognition of tests and movements - along with the ability to longitudinally track athlete performance - has changed the way we can perform our assessment package. Due to ForceDecks intuitive system, more S&C coaches in more sports are undertaking these strength assessments, allowing more coaches to make better informed programming and coaching decisions. Alex Wolf, Head of S&C, English Institute of Sport As a sports scientist or a strength and conditioning coach, the most obvious way that you can have an effect on an athlete s performance is by enabling them to become more robust to withstand the demands of competition. To do this, you need to make effective decisions for athlete s strength training based on their physical needs and their physical capability to complete the demands. This is where ForceDecks has become invaluable to my practice in my previous role with the GB Olympic Hockey teams and now at the English Football Association enabling me to quickly measure the physical capabilities of the players, and their ability to perform the technical requirements again and again. Dr Benjamin Rosenblatt, English Football Association Men s Lead Physical Performance Coach, FA U21 Men s Physical Performance Coach
