Use the remote control Recline and Incline settings to adjust the backrest angle for maximum comfort. When changing direction (from Recline to Incline and from Leg Up to Leg Down), there is a slight pause while the chair gears shift. This is perfectly normal. 8 9

TAKE A SEAT FOR A CALF MASSAGE: FOR A FOOT MASSAGE: 1. Adjust the footrest angle While sitting in the chair, pull up on the footrest release handle (located on the right side of the footrest). Rotate the footrest away from the chair until it clicks into position, with the calf+footrest on top. Do not rotate the footrest past the point at which it clicks into position-it will break. 1. Release the footrest While sitting in the chair, pull up on the footrest release handle (located on the right side of the footrest). If the calf+footrest is not already on top: Rotate the footrest away from the chair just until the calf+footrest is on top. Do not rotate it so far that it clicks into position; the footrest should be moving freely for a foot massage. If the calf+footrest is already on top and locked into position for a calf massage: Rotate the footrest toward the chair until it is moving freely. 2. Insert your feet 2. Insert your legs into the calf+foot massager If your legs feel uncomfortable, remove them from the massager. Do not stand or sit on the footrest Before getting out of the chair, always lower the footrest. Restore Pull up on the footrest release handle, then rotate the footrest toward the chair until the calf+footrest is on the bottom and the smooth side of the footrest is on top. Press the remote control Restore button to return the chair to a full upright position. 10 11

TAKE CONTROL Shoulder Height Press to select tall, medium, or short, based on your height, to position the massage rollers for maximum comfort. Massage Programs massage the specified area of your back for 15 minutes, using a variety of massage techniques. The corresponding LED lights on the remote to indicate which massage mode is currently in use. Upper massages just your upper back Full massages your entire back Lower massages just your lower back Power lights to indicate that master power switch is on. Width Focus or diffuse massage pressure by selecting the wide, standard, or narrow roller setting. This feature is used with Roll Partial, Roll Full and Percussion massage modes. Select the width setting after selecting a massage mode. Manual Position (up/down arrows) Use this button along with one of the massage modes marked *, to set the massage rollers to the desired position on the backrest. You can press this button before or after selecting the massage mode. Stretch Place your legs in the calf+foot massager before using the Stretch feature. Press the Stretch button for up to 15 seconds to activate (the remote beeps twice when ready). The backrest and calf+foot massager work together automatically to perform a gentle full-body stretch. Calf + Foot Massage Press this button to select from three calf+foot massage modes. Position Controller To select a position setting, use your thumb to push the controller in the direction of the desired setting. Leg up Raises the calf+footrest to a horizontal position. Leg down lowers the calf+footrest to a vertical position. Recline Reclines the backrest to a horizontal position. Incline Raises the backrest to a vertical position. Indicates the number of minutes remaining in the current 15-minute massage program. Rolling Rolling modes can be used in combination with all other massage modes. Percussion Compression Kneading MASSAGE MODES Roll Partial applies the massage to a 3-inch-high portion of your back. Use the Adjust Down/Up buttons to position the massage rollers to the desired area. Roll Full rolls gently up and down your back near your spine, gently alternating side-to-side, to warm up and loosen your muscles and prepare your back for deeper massage. Rolling massage relieves muscle tension, improves circulation and relaxes the back. Press once for low speed (I), press again for high speed (II), press again to stop. Percussion alternating rapid-tapping strokes along the spine stimulate both spinal muscles and spinal joint areas, emulating the percussive massage technique used in sports medicine for deep muscle therapy. Percussion massage flexes spinal joints and relieves pressure on the spinal column, invigorating the entire back area. Press once for auto mode, which alternates speeds, press again for slow speed (I), press again for fast speed (II), press again to stop. Compression presses on spinal muscles and spinal joint areas using alternating strokes and a gentle rocking motion, emulating a technique used in sports medicine and in spinal therapy by chiropractors. Compression spreads and puts pressure on deep muscle tissue, forcing it to relax, while the rocking motion loosens spinal joints. This technique aids in muscle and joint repair due to strain from exercise, long hours bent over a desk, or just day-to-day stress, and can improve mobility and overall posture. Press once for slow speed (I), press again for fast speed (II), press again to stop. Kneading kneads your back in small, circular motion on both sides of your spine simultaneously, relieving tension and soreness by lifting and stretching muscles. Kneading improves circulation and helps bring vital nutrients to the spinal area. Press once for auto mode, which alternates speeds, press again for slow speed (I), press again for fast speed (II), press again to stop. Now choose a massage mode to suit your mood. Your HT -125 massage chair lets you customize your massage using a wide variety of massage modes. Choose from four stationary massage modes and two rolling massages, or combine them. Too tired to make a decision? Just select one of the three auto programs, which alternate between massage modes and target different areas of your back. For specific sore spots, position the massage rollers to target that spot. Your HT -125 offers maximum flexibility, to meet all of your back massage needs. Restore Restores the backrest and calf+footrest to a full upright position. Use this button before getting up from the chair. The smooth side of the footrest should be on top before pressing Restore. See page 11 for instructions. Kneading+Percusion Knead+Percussion combines the Kneading and Percussion massage modes. Press once for auto mode, which alternates speeds, press again for slow speed (I), press again for fast speed (II), press again to stop. Stop/Park stops the massage and parks the massage rollers at the top of the backrest. Kneading 12 13
