Improving safety, health and wellbeing at work The South Wales Safety Groups Alliance Annual Health and Safety Conference and Exhibition 08.30 16.30 In partnership with www.iosh.co.uksouthwalesbranch In partnership with

Event information South Wales Safety Groups Alliance is pleased to announce details of the conference and exhibition that it s organising, through its member groups. These successful annual conferences have become established in the calendar of safety and health professionals in the area. Event overview This year s conference will cover six important aspects of occupational safety and health. We are indebted to Neil Craig, Head of Field Operations, Wales and the Marches, HSE, for again chairing the conference. As usual, we have attracted high-class speakers. The subjects cover general topics (insurance perspectives, sensible health surveillance and mental health in the workplace) and more specific HSE priority subjects (asbestos, noise and HAVS). What s in it for you? There is a role to play for everyone who has a stake or interest in improving safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace. This conference and exhibition will help you understand and maintain the impetus for this strategy. Attending this event also offers you the chance to network with other delegates and speakers, and anything you gain can be included in your CPD portfolio. Who should attend? This event is aimed at all safety and health professionals, company directors, managers and supervisors, as well as HR professionals. The South Wales Safety Group Alliance Along with the South Wales Branch, membership of the Alliance includes the Wales Branch IIRSM, Cardiff and East Wales Occupational Health and Safety Group, South Wales Construction Safety Group and the South and West Wales Occupational Safety Group (formerly Swansea and West Wales Occupational Safety Group). We are probably the first area in the UK where regional groups have worked together in this way. Our strategic aim is to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of all employees and others in the area. Taking a holistic approach, we believe that together we are stronger and better able to make a difference. What you need to know As with previous years, there will be an exhibition where local and national safety-related businesses show us their wares, as well as a prize draw at the conclusion of the day. Last year one lucky winner won a circuit drive in a Lamborghini! The fee includes a delegate pack, lunch and refreshments. There is ample free car parking at the stadium.
