Autism Impacts the Entire Community Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder, affecting 1 in 68 children born in the U.S. and 1 in 64 in Arizona. Autism is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. 80% of individuals with autism are under 22, and society is unprepared to house, employ and provide support services for the 500,000 who will enter adulthood over the next 10 years. Lifetime services for one individual with autism require some $3.2 million, impacting families and society with staggering costs. No definitive cause has been established nor cure found, but autism is treatable! Early intervention can dramatically improve an individual s quality of life. What makes the SARRC Breakfast so unique? The SARRC Breakfast is a free event for guests to attend that delivers a moving, memorable portrait of autism s impact on families and our community. Guests attend year after year because of the compelling program, admiration of SARRC s effectiveness and because every year SARRC shares exciting news. Why should your company become a Breakfast sponsor? The Breakfast draws more than 1,400 community and business leaders, sponsors, parents, volunteers and public officials and has grown to be one of the largest and most powerful charity breakfasts hosted at the Arizona Biltmore.
