The specialists at the Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute have been recognized nationally and internationally by their peers as leaders in the field of otolaryngology (ENT). Our team of experts continues to lead the nation in experience and innovative techniques that translate into improved outcomes and care for patients. With more than 30 full-time faculty members caring for adult and pediatric patients with complex ear, nose and throat disorders, the institute is one of the largest otolaryngology programs in the United States. The Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute is composed of specialists with extensive training in all areas, including: Audiology: Audiologists provide the non-medical management of hearing disorders, including comprehensive audiologic evaluation and treatment through the use of assistive listening devices, hearing aids, Baha Hearing Systems and cochlear implants. Tinnitus management using a multidisciplinary approach is also provided. Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery: Surgeons perform a broad range of procedures, from office-based treatments including Botox and Restylane injections to operative procedures ranging from rhinoplasty and facelifts to major facial reconstructive surgery. Head and Neck Surgery: Evaluation and treatment of both benign and malignant head and neck tumors. Patients are seen by a team of surgeons, radiation therapists and oncologists to facilitate optimal treatment. Laryngotracheal Reconstruction: Treatment of laryngeal airway obstruction, esophageal reflux, tracheal aspiration, voice preservation and rehabilitation and removal of upper and lower respiratory foreign bodies. Voice Center: The Voice Center represents a dedicated center of excellence to uniquely serve the voice disordered population, with special focus on the professional voice user. It is staffed by recognized experts from Speech Language Pathology and Laryngology. Nasal and Sinus Disorders: Treatment of a wide variety of sinonasal conditions, including rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, fungal sinusitis, septal deviation, nasal obstruction and inhalant allergies. The section specializes in minimally invasive, computer-aided endoscopic techniques for revision sinus surgery, CSF leak repair, endoscopic orbital and lacrimal surgery, and resection of neoplasms of the nose, sinuses and skull base. Otology-Neurotology: Care of all forms of otologic disorders,including middle and posterior cranial fossa surgery for cerebellopontine and skull base tumors. Immune-mediated inner ear disease (deafness), Meniere s disease and cochlear implantation are also handled here. Pediatric Otolaryngology: Treatment of all forms of pediatric otolaryngologic disorders, with support from Cleveland Clinic Children s Hospital, a pediatric intensive care unit, and numerous other pediatric specialists on staff. Speech-Language Pathology: Comprehensive evaluation and treatment for all speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Services are provided to pediatric through geriatric patient populations via an interdisciplinary medical care model. Vestibular and Balance Disorders: Diagnosis and vestibular rehabilitation from dizziness, disequilibrium.
