Our Specified Illness Benefit Is Now Even Better. Now Covering 47 Specified Illnesses 20 Partial Payment Illnesses
Enhancements to our Specified Illness Benefit We have made enhancements to our Specified Illness Benefit to ensure our customers have the best cover to meet their needs. As well as improving some of our existing conditions, we have added a number of new illnesses to bring the total number of main illnesses to 47. We will also make partial payments on a further 20 illnesses, at no extra cost. The new conditions are available to policies issued from 11 March 2013. I think the addition of Crohn s Disease and Peripheral Vascular Disease as main and partial illnesses are great additions to our contract. These are quite common illnesses and at the more severe end of the scale can be very challenging. Noel Finnegan, Chief Underwriter Did you know? We are the only company in the market that offers a reduced premium if you are excluded from certain illnesses and we have no general exclusions. We believe that customers should only pay for the cover they receive. Direct access to our claims assessors At Bank of Ireland Life, we have a lot of experience in claims assessment. Our claims team are carefully selected and trained to ensure they engage with claimants in a sensitive and compassionate manner and fully understand the serious life change they may be experiencing. We receive very positive feedback from customers and financial advisors on their experiences. They value the timely updates on their claims and the direct access they have to our Claims Assessors.
