These are the Husband/Wife Imbalance, Aggressive Energy, Spirit evel Blocks, Possession, The CV/GV Block and Entry-Exit blocks.. Possession; Possession has its roots in early Shamanistic Chinese Medicine practices. In our times it is best described as an extreme Shen disturbance. Where through strong external or internal cause the shen has partially left the body and we need to root the shen back into the body. What is important about this block is if someone is possessed acupuncture does not work. What does possession look like? It is a sense that you cannot reach the person or part of them is not available. You may look into their eyes and they are not really there. It is like there is a veil over their eyes and you cannot reach them. The person may hear voices, have extreme dreams, They may even say they feel possessed, They may have abnormal speech, thoughts or eye movement patterns. There is something WEID with them, the room or the whole situation. It is like there is honey or shaving cream all over the pulses. These people can still be functioning normally in the world. Possession may come from; o Internal; Death in the family, loss of a spouse, a devastating divorce, drug or alcohol use or other addictions, sexual abuse. o External; Accidents, extreme climatic factors (wind, damp, cold, heat) etc. cults, extreme religious participation, Ouija boards, occult practices or channeling. o Gui Spirits In 5 Element Acupuncture we use a treatment called the 7 Dragons for the 7 Demons. 7 points in a pattern that reconnect the patient to themselves again. The 7 beneficial dragons patrol around and eat the 7 demons! 2 E I O T T O A D C U N E S N S W 2 0 8 0 A U S T A I A P H O N E : + 6 1 ( 0 ) 2 6 6 2 9 1 1 9 1 0 4 2 1 5 8 3 3 2 1 E - M A I : C O U S E S @ 5 E E M E N T. The points for the Seven Dragons are en 15 (or the master point a teardrop below en 15) St25, St32 and St41 1. These 7 needles are inserted from top of the body - down, 2. ight side first, then left side 3. Deeply, to really engage or root the Qi of the person. 4. Then given a hint of sedation, 5. The needles have the look that they are at attention in the body. 6. They are left in until there is a noticeable difference in the person and or their pulses. 7. This will be around 20 minutes but up to an hour is Ok as well - This is hard to describe until you have experienced it but you know you have the person back in the room with you. - The pulses just feel different, clearer, less weird - You may very occasionally need to repeat this treatment again as you move through layers of the possession. Entry- Exit Blocks There is the flow of the 5 Elements that flows from Fire to Earth etc. called the Sheng Cycle; the Ko cycle that flows controlling the elements from Fire to Metal etc. One of the main flows of energy is through the main channels following the 24 hour clock. This is the energy that arrives at the ung meridian and proceeds along the system in this order. ung to Colon to Stomach to Spleen to Heart to Small Intestine to Bladder to Kidney to Heart Protector to Three Heater to Gall Bladder to iver. - Quite often there are blocks between the meridians along the Element pairs. - There can be felt easily on the pulses. - For example, the Earth pair of pulses (St/Sp.) are full and the Fire pair (Ht./S.I.) are empty. Imagine two villages on different sides of a large dam, one village in constant flood and other village with a constant lack of water. Neither getting their needs met and both in panic. The organ, the official, the meridian not getting its needs met. - The full side has a bulging or a slight percussive feel as though it s a dam full, ready to burst. For example; Tight, Wiry, Big, Bowstring or Stirring pulses. - The empty side may feel hollow as though there is a pulse but no real substance to it. It may also feel like it is completely missing and there is a hole where the pulse should be. For example ; Floating, Sinking, Thin, Drum-Skin, Vacuous, Soft, Soggy, Hidden or Fine pulses.
Clearing these blocks is simple. You tonify the Entry and Exit points of the Blocked meridians. - Sometimes people have multiple blocks which can cloud the picture. Clear the most prominent block first and any others will be clearer. - These blocks are an impediment to treatment and by clearing them you connect the person to themselves again. - These sound quite physical but they are emotional blocks. The aim is to clear the system so there is flow and then strengthen the person with the energy from their Constitutional Element. - When you have cleared all the blocks the person will noticeable relax, all the parts of them that have been held tight will let go. - They will often comment that they feel sore in certain parts of their bodies, for example their shoulders. - It is not unusual for emotion to come up as they have moved out of a defensive position and can actually feel how they are feeling at that point. - It is important to support them through the emotion with some gentle breathing and let them know the emotion is normal and safe as they are letting go. - Headaches are quite often a sign of a Three Heater/Gall Bladder block. - Quite often when palpating the points of the blocked pairs they will have a bruised feel to them. - These blocks may also show in some form of imbalance in colour, sound odour or emotion of the patient. - There may be a physical symptom near the block. - A lot of physical symptoms disappear when you clear these blocks. The Entry Exit Bocks are; Spleen / Heart Between the Stomach - Spleen and Heart Small Intestine Tonify Spleen 21 then Heart 1; left side then right Small Intestine / Bladder; Between the Heart - Small Intestine and Bladder Kidney. Tonify Small Intestine 19 then Bladder 1; left side then right Kidney / Heart Protector Between the Bladder Kidney and Heart Protector Three Heater. Tonify Kidney 22 then Heart Protector 1 (2 on Woman); left side then right Three Heater / Gall Bladder Between the Heart Protector Three Heater and Gall Bladder iver Tonify Three Heater 22 then Gall Bladder 1; left side then right iver / ung Between the Gall Bladder iver and ung - arge Intestine Tonify iver 14 then ung 1; left side then right arge Intestine / Stomach Between the ung - arge Intestine and Stomach / Spleen Tonify arge Intestine 20 then Stomach 1; left side then r

Aggressive Energy A.E. is energy that has become contaminated or polluted. The closet we can describe it in TCM terms is toxic or Xie qi as opposed to healthy or Zheng qi. A.E. can come from both; Internal sources; such as emotional upsets, recreational drug use, strong medical drugs, chemotherapy, cancer or other life threatening disease. External; such as damp, cold and dryness, etc. If a person s Zheng/ Healthy qi or Wei/ Protective qi is strong usually this qi is usually transformed and dissipated. Over time this A.E. mounts up, stagnates and become toxic. It is hard to diagnose A.E. Quite often a 5 Element practitioner will test for this before starting to treat the person and transfer between Elements. The presence of A.E. on three organs can be life threatening. A.E. is only found on the Yin Organs. The way to Test and Clear Aggressive Energy Have your patient sitting up in a comfortable position Mark the Yin Back Shu points (ung, Pericardium, iver, Spleen, and Kidney (not Heart) Insert needles into these points, bilaterally in a very shallow way, no more than.1 or 1/10 of a cun. At this depth these needle will hang out very loosely Insert dummy needles about 2 centimeters away from each Back Shu point, to test if any reaction is only skin sensitivity. A.E. is present if erythema or a deep red appears on the skin around the needle that is different to your dummy needles or if there is a big change in the C.S.O.E. or pulses of a person. If there is a reddening that seems to be A.E. after about 5 minutes, leave the needles in until the A.E. drains. If not, you may remove the needles and proceed with your treatment. You may drain A.E. from the Heart if you find A.E. on the Pericardium or Kidney.
2 May 9, 2016 Pale skinned people are more likely to have sensitive skin than dark skinned people. Can be present if you feel there is something in the way of a patient progressing. Usually a person will feel calmed and better for having A.E. drained, sometimes it may encourage crying as they let go of the old energy. Gye Bennetts gye@5element.com.au
