My research focuses on speech perception, and the ways in which hearing impairment can affect communication at multiple stages of language processing. I focus on cochlear implants, listening effort, speech acoustics and spectral resolution, as well as data visualization. I direct the Listen Lab, which focuses on understanding speech perception and the things that make it difficult.
