Since he was a child, Norm has appreciated the unique place the JCC Denver holds in our community and our hearts. It s time for us to give back in honor of all Norm has given to this incredible institution. David H. Engleberg Norm s tremendous contributions have helped the Jewish community reach new heights in influence and impact. Norm is a true leader, and we are privileged to honor him this year. No one is more deserving of this prestigious award. Larry A. Mizel, Chairman and CEO, MDC Holdings Photo Courtesy of Jewish Family Service Photo Courtesy of Colorado Politics
Celebrate NORMAN BROWNSTEIN Norm Brownstein's impact on our state is unprecedented. Whether he is advocating for federal funding for nonprofits like the Jewish Community Center or creating strategies to accelerate Colorado's economic growth and development, Norm is committed to working for others. He put us on the map! We're lucky that Norm calls Colorado home. John Hickenlooper, Governor of Colorado Norm is a true visionary, and his leadership and commitment to our community have been nothing less than monumental. We are delighted to honor Norm with the 2017 Robert E. Loup Hineni Award. What makes it even more meaningful is that prior to his death, Bob Loup hand-picked Norm as the first recipient of the Robert E. Loup Hineni Award for his unparalleled contributions to our country and the Denver community. A founding member and Chairman of the Board of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Norm is nationally recognized for his prominent legal career, including extensive public policy advocacy, and as a business and civic leader. Active in community affairs, Norm is involved in the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), where he is currently vice president. He is a director of National Jewish Health and a trustee of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Who knew that we would raise such an asset to everything worthwhile in our community when Norm came to live with us when he was fourteen years old. We are very proud of this mentch and his contributions to the Jewish community of Denver, the United States and the Land of Israel and its People. Stanley Kamlet Norm has received many awards including the Distinguished Humanitarian Award, the Arthur B. Lorber Award from National Jewish Health, the Talmud Leadership Award from AIPAC, the Mizel Institutes Community Enrichment Award, and Business Leader of the Year from Jewish Family Service of Colorado, to name a few.
