The President s Message Dear AAUW Camarillo Members, We had an exciting Annual Kick-Off Meeting on Sunday, September 20 th at the Spanish Hills country Club. Thank you to all who attended. We had over 85 members attend and many new faces and lots of guest. What an exciting time to be a part of the Camarillo branch. I would like to extend a special Thank you to Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long for joining us as well as a representative from Senator Hannah Beth Jackson's office. Our very own Tech Trek Girls entertained us with a camp song and all of the committee displays were wonderful. Thank you to the all the committees and behind-the-scenes folks, for all of your hard work, helping to get everything set-up for a wonderful afternoon. I have received so many messages speaking about the wonderful afternoon. Pictures on page 6. We had a GREAT day! Now on to our next adventure, our Annual Authors Day Luncheon. Remember this is our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your support. Get your tickets now and remember to bring a friend. This fundraiser allows us to send as many girls as we can to the Tech Trek camp during the summer. PLEASE support this program by attending the event. If you are not able to attend but would like to help, just send in your donation and remind us that it is for Tech Trek. Last year we sent 13 girls to the program, let s send 20 girls next time. As always, if I haven t met you yet, I am looking forward to meeting you soon. This is our year of growth, please help by inviting your friends, daughter, grand daughter and all to our upcoming event. Pamela SAVE THE DATES! We have two daytime groups that play on the second and fourth Fridays starting 12:00 Noon on October 9 TH.
