TGC is Growing This summer Texas Gulf Coast Medical Systems will add two new physician s at our TGC Blossom Location: candice dunn, MD Internal Medicine Dr. Dunn will be joining our team in August of 2017. She was born and raised in League City and wants to raise her family and practice medicine in the area she grew up in. Dr. Dunn is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She completed her residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and earned her Medical Doctorate at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Dr. Dunn chose medicine as a career because it has always fascinated her, with cardiology and preventative medicine being the most fascinating. She loves building a trusting relationship with her patients and taking care of them physically and emotionally, with an approach that makes them feel comfortable. She believes there is no one size fits all, when taking care of healthcare problems and concerns. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at home with her daughter, husband and their three dogs. She also enjoys swimming and playing a game of golf, as she was on the golf team in college. Michael Washington, MD Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Dr. Washington will be joining our team in July of 2017. He will be relocating from Boston, MA, where he currently is an Instructor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, and an Urgent Care Provider at Codman Square Health Center. He is double board- certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Washington completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Rhode Island Hospital and received his Medical Degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island, with a concentration in Medical Humanities. Dr. Washington s practice philosophy is to provide holistic and evidence-based care that is respectful of the concerns, values and aspirations of his patients. He believes in empowering his patients to achieve their greatest potential. In his spare time, Dr. Washington enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing his trombone and various string instruments, weightlifting, traveling, enjoying foods from around the world and serving his community.
