Project: Report Notes: Date Received: March 13, 2017 12:35 Analyst: David Sekora, M.S. Test Start Date: March 14, 2017 Test End Date: March 16, 2017 Qualifier: The supplied filter units were each placed into dedicated holders and connected to a pressure vessel containing General Test Water type 1 (GTW1 (NSF P231); Dechlorinated municipal water). 10-Liters of water was passed through each filter unit, at 2.0PSI. following the initial conditioning, the indicated challenge species were added to 50 liters of GTW1 in a sterile pressure vessel. The water was homogenized, the pressure vessel was sealed, the filter units were connected, and the system was charged to 2.0 PSI. The challenge water was passed through each unit. The resulting flow flow rate was 539.6-571.4 ml/min. Duplicate 50 ml samples from each filter's effluent were collected following the passage of a minimum 10 bed volumes through each unit. A sample of the influent challenge water was removed prior to the beginning of the study and at the end. Collected samples and their dilutions were analyzed in duplicates at the minimum of 0.1 and 1.0 ml for bacteria, virus and in duplicates of 0.5mL for microspheres as per standard lab operating procedures. This test does not indicate compliance with the full 10 test day NSF P231 standard. It only evaluates initial purifier units efficacy using water parameters specified in NSFP231. End of report notes.
