Aged 16-25? Help us design new advice and support for children and We re Mind, the mental health charity. If you re Aged aged between 16-16 25? and 25, we d Help like you us to apply design to join our new Young People s Panel today. You can use your views and experiences to help us help other advice and support for children and Keep reading to find out how you can get involved. What are we doing? We know that growing up is not always easy, and we d like to help. That s why, in 2018, we ll be offering advice and support nationally to children and Over 50 of our local Minds already run services that help children and young people in communities across England and Wales. Now, these local Minds are helping us to develop our work with children and young people nationally, too. Why do we need young people to join our panel? By listening to your views and experiences, and learning from the things you say, we ll create advice and support that give children and young people the support that s right for them. Who are we looking for? We re looking for up to 10 young people aged between 16 and 25 from a wide range of backgrounds to join our Young People s Panel. Whether you ve got your own experience of mental health problems or not, it doesn t matter. As long as you re interested in the subject, we d love to hear from you.

What s involved? If you re selected to join the panel, we ll ask you to meet with us twice, once on Saturday 18 March 2017 and again on Saturday 25 March 2017, between 11am and 3.30pm, in central London. Both meetings will be very informal. We ll ask you to share your thoughts and ideas on the advice, support and services we re planning to deliver. We ll try to make both sessions as fun as possible and we ll ask you to tell us how you felt each session was run. What support will you get to take part? If you re selected to join the panel, we ll cover all your travel and accommodation costs. We can talk to you about how else we can help you take part, including collecting you from a train or tube station if that helps. On both days, we ll provide lunch and drinks, and as a thank you for your time we ll give you a 20 gift voucher. Keeping you safe All panel members will be covered by Mind s Children and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding Policy and our Lived Experience Influence and Participation Policy. Mind staff will run both of the panel days. They have all been approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service to work with anyone under the age of 18. All of the information you tell us will be kept safe in line with the Data Protection Act. How will we decide who joins the panel? We re looking for young people who: are passionate about improving children and young people s mental health can share their views and experiences can listen and explore views and opinions that might be different to their own are good at timekeeping can work with other young people from diverse backgrounds.
