We touch the lives of our community at every point in their lives Under 5s Primary School Secondary School From just 3 years old, youngsters join us at Minikickers for their first taster of recreational football, focusing on developing the child as a whole. Our projects compliment every school year group, enhancing the national curriculum and providing outstanding football coaching. As children begin to develop their diverse interests in secondary school, we offer a range of projects to help them flourish as individuals. We form an early connection with pre-school children that ensures a bond with Burnley FC in the Community that lasts a lifetime In Primary schools, we deliver a Schools Healthy Eating programme to year 5 and 6 children, with Soccer Schools and School Sport programme available across the region, for children aged 5-12 years old. Our Premier League Enterprise programme engages teenagers with core curriculum subjects, through the power of football. For those with a passion for the outdoors, we facilitate Duke of Edinburgh s awards with our qualified walk leaders.
THE BIG PICTURE. Young People Adults Over 50s In an area of high unemployment, we help young people build their skills and enter the working world. Not everyone is fortunate to have the same start into a working life. Our Pendle Works project helps improve employability in young adults through workshops, skills building and work placements. As we get older, the risk of isolation and loneliness increases dramatically, as does inactivity. Our NCS team take 16-17 year olds (up to 25 with SEN) on residentials to build independence whilst our Shadow Youth Teams provides talented players the chance to combine playing regular, high level football with educational studies. For those wanting to improve their physical health, our Men s Healthy Weight Management programme helps local males drop pounds and gain a new level of fitness! Our Walking Football and Extra Time projects offer socialising opportunities and the chance to get moving to people entering the later stages of life.
