SUMMERFEST ROCK `N SOLE RUN ROAD CLOSURES & RESTRICTIONS The 5 th Annual Summerfest Rock n Sole Run (Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon & The Big Gig 5K) will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2015. The Half and Quarter Marathons start at the intersection of Young Street and Erie Street and end outside the South Admission Gate at the Summerfest Grounds (Polk Street & Harbor Drive). Participants of the Big Gig 5K will begin and end the race at the Summerfest Rock n Sole Run Finish Line. See maps for routes below. Family, friends and race spectators are invited to come down to the Summerfest grounds beginning at 7:00 a.m. to cheer on the runners. A post-race celebration will be held on the south end of the grounds from 7:00 a.m. - noon, featuring live music, food and beverage sales, etc. Net proceeds from the Summerfest Rock `n Sole Run will benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and the Summerfest Foundation, both 501(c)(3) organizations. Street Closures & Restrictions Hosting the run will be a great opportunity to showcase the beautiful city of Milwaukee to thousands of runners and volunteers, but will also come with some inconveniences for many of you conducting your normal business on a Saturday. Please see the reverse side and subsequent pages for a complete list of closures and restrictions. Number of Participants: Approximately 9,000 participants and 900 volunteers. Race Time: Road restrictions will begin as early as 3:30 am on race day morning. See information on the other side and maps below for specific information regarding your area of the course.
