Headache & Migraine Report Could My Program Be The Solution To Your Chronic Headaches And Migraines? Inside This FREE Headache Report You ll Discover Why Headache Medication Can Make Your Headaches Worse! The Most Common Reason Why Your Headache Has Not Gone Away How To Determine If Your Doctor Is Keeping You From Getting Better! WHAT IS CAUSING YOUR HEADACHES (WHETHER THEY ARE MIGRAINES, CLUSTER, CERVICOGENIC, OR COMMON) MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOW TO TREAT THEM! Headaches are NOT normal! They are a sign that something is wrong. Your body is designed to be free of pain. Feeling good is the normal state. Feeling throbbing, pounding pain in your skull that won t go away is not normal. Neither is: the nauseous feelings that comes whenever you go out on a sunny day or see a bright light vomiting because the pain is so intense it makes you sick lying awake at night praying your headaches will disappear feeling and looking miserable, irritable, and older than you really are the frustration of knowing that your friends and family just don t understand what you are going through. And thanks to those clever headache pain relief commercials, medicine cabinets, purses, and glove compartments all over the country are fully stocked with medication for the normal headache. And when you have a migraine, there is a medication for

that too. What is always forgotten on those commercials is the what. The what, is what is causing the headaches and migraines in the first place. Instead of drowning our bodies in drugs and medications that suppress our body s signals (the headaches and migraines are signals or alarms) that something is wrong, wouldn t it be better to identify the cause in the first place? Wouldn t it be better to identify and get rid of the cause instead of always having to treat the pain? So, if you are one of the millions of Americans who suffer from annoying, pestering, mind-numbing headaches, then please keep reading this report, because as you are about to discover that while headaches and migraines are extremely common, headaches and migraines are not normal. Hi, I m Dr. Kyle Meers. I use a combination of chiropractic care, therapy and home exercise to help people just like you recover from chronic headaches and migraines. Every 10 seconds, someone in the United States goes to the emergency room with a headache or migraine. You may be one of those people who has because of the severity, fear of the unremitting pain, severe nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and/or stroke-like neurological symptoms that might accompany the headache. Migraines rank in the top 20 of the world s most disabling medical illnesses. Keep in mind that migraines really aren t the illness; it is what is CAUSING the migraine that is the illness. In the US, pharmaceutical companies are getting away with spinning symptoms into diseases, conditions, syndromes, and illnesses when what they really are are symptoms of illness, disease, and dysfunction in the body. Amazingly, over 10% of the population, including children, suffers from migraines. Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. households includes someone who suffers with migraines. In addition to the attack-related disability, many sufferers live in fear knowing that at any time an attack could disrupt their ability to work, go to school, care for their families, or enjoy social activities. More than 90% of sufferers are unable to work or function normally during their migraine attacks. While most sufferers experience

migraine attacks once or twice a month, about 14 million people experience headaches on a near-daily basis. About 18% of American women and 6% of men suffer from migraines. This translates to about 36 million people in the United States alone! American employers lose more than $13 billion each year as a result of 113 million lost work days. I couldn t believe that so many Americans suffer day in and day out when they really don t have to anymore and chances are, neither do you! That s why I decided to step forward and write this simple, yet informative report. So please, for your own sake, carefully read every word of this report It may be the most important message you will ever hear. O.K., let s get started! If you REALLY want to get rid of your headaches and start living a normal life in a short period of time, then you need to first be aware of Five Headache Relief Misconceptions: 1. Over-The-Counter Medications Treat The Cause Of Your Headache Or Migraine It s almost criminal that drug companies are hiding from you the fact that headacherelieving drugs don t actually target the real causeof your headaches. Here s the real deal These pills cover up your headache by simply disabling your brain s ability to feel your headache. That s why your headache comes back when the pills wear off! If you broke your leg and just took pills so you didn t have to feel the pain, the pain would come back when the pills wore off.

If these drugs actually treated the real cause of your headaches, then shouldn t your headaches and migraines go away permanently? Yes! But they don t, because your problem is not an aspirin, Motrin, or Imitrex deficiency. These pills work to suppress your symptoms. And I have to be honest, for many people they do remove or reduce pain at least initially. The problem however, is really not the pain. The problem is what is CAUSING the pain (usually inflammation). The drugs suppress your symptoms while the REAL cause of your headaches remains untreated. Taking the medications can actually make you worse in the long run because you often delay finding the cause, and the side effects of the medications can create their own symptoms. 2. Headache Medication Can t Harm You One thing many headache sufferers don t know is that the pills they take are not 100% safe. In fact, a lot of the side effects you may experience are far worse than the headaches you re trying to cover up. Ironically, the most common side effect of most of the headache and migraine medications is headaches. You see, the way these pills disable your ability to feel headaches is by disabling a little hormone in your body that acts like a messenger to your brain. Of course, our bodies, being the highly tuned machines they are, have figured out how to use these hormones for more jobs than one. So if you disable the hormone from doing just one job, it will also not do all the other jobs in your body. This can lead to all sorts of problems. You can get something as minor as a rash, or you can have sudden liver failure or kidney problems. Even aspirin has been linked to deadly hemorrhagic strokes. It gets worse you see, the more often you take these medications, the more your risk increases!

Also, medication seldom increases your body s ability to respond to stress appropriately, and it usually decreases your body s natural ability to fight disease! Simply put, you can t drug yourself healthy. 3. When Headaches Go Away The Cause Of The Headache Goes Away Headaches can come and go. What may not go away however is what is causing the headaches. Remember headaches and migraines are the symptoms of dysfunction in your body. They are the warning signals that your body is not adapting well. If you got one headache because of a stressful situation and it went away and you never had one come back I would consider that a fairly normal stress response. (But then you probably wouldn t have requested this report) However, if you have regular headaches and migraines, than the problem or cause is not really going away. The problem or health challenge is still there but the stress of the day exacerbates the problem, triggering the stress response or alarm response which is your headache. If you want to get rid of your headaches and migraines and you are tired of taking potentially harmful drugs and medications than the solution is to identify the CAUSE of your headaches and migraines. Once you identify the cause, than a plan can be put in place to address and correct the cause. The challenge in today s medical system is to find a doctor willing to help you identify the cause and correct it. Today s medical model focuses on treating the symptoms which is why your doctor just gives you medicine. In the medical model the treatment for headaches and migraines is medications. It is rare that a medical doctor will take the time to identify the cause and tell you how to rectify it. It is far easier to give you a drug and send you on your way. This is also true at times in chiropractic care. Many Chiropractors believe that every headaches or migraine can be cured with a chiropractic adjustment. And while I have helped many people with headaches and migraines with chiropractic adjustments, a

mis-aligned joint is not the cause of every headache and migraine and the chiropractic adjustment is not always the cure. I know because not only have I seen this through my clinical experience with my patients, but as I mentioned earlier I have a son who struggled with migraines for about a year. (I will talk about this more later) Chiropractic adjustments did not help his migraines. It wasn t until I identified the cause that I was able to help him maintain a migraine free life. 4. All Doctors Know How To Treat Headaches There s a saying that goes something like this If You re A Hammer, All You See Is Nails. Hammers hit nails, M.D. s prescribe medication. Expecting a different approach from your medical doctor will only lead to disappointment. It is not your doctor s fault that he gives you a drug to suppress your symptoms. That is what he s been taught, that is what his peers do, and that is the standard of practice in medicine. The focus of medical care is tell your doctor your symptoms, he provides a diagnosis or name for your group of symptoms, than provides you with a drug to suppress your symptoms to make them more manageable or provides you a drug to treat a disease, disorder, or syndrome. That s why I wrote this report to help headache sufferers like you. I watched my own son suffer with severe migraines. Watching him curled up in pain, vomiting and dry heaving is not a good feeling. I felt helpless. I don t want anyone else to suffer like he did. Before we go any further, let me stress to you that there is a time and place for medication, but more importantly, the cause of the problem must be identified. Not identifying the underlying cause of your headaches and migraines can lead to long term health complications. I understand that if you are in severe pain, the medication can

take the edge off. But the cause must be identified and corrected or you are doomed to a life of pill popping and deteriorating health. What typically happens is that the medications remove or suppress the symptoms initially, but because the cause of the problem is still present and has not been addressed, the cause gets worse and the same medication or dose no longer works. The medical solution is stronger doses or stronger medications to suppress the symptoms. I call this the medical-merry-go-round. In fact, if you really want great results without all the risk of drugs, doesn t it make sense to try a natural solution first? 5. Your Problem Is Always Where Your Pain Is. Even though you may be feeling your headache in your sinuses or on the top of your head, that doesn t necessarily mean that is where the cause of the problem is located. For instance, people with disc problems in their lower back will often feel pain, numbness, or weakness in their legs, even if there s nothing physically wrong with their legs. My son s migraines were actually caused by a food sensitivity that was damaging his GI tract creating inflammation that caused the migraines. So his migraines were actually caused by stomach problems. So at this point you probably have two questions: 1. What causes headaches and migraines? 2. How do I figure out what are causing MY headaches and migraines? Headaches are caused by problems in one or more of three main systems. Your headaches could be caused by challenges with your structure, your neurology, and/or your metabolic state.

Metabolic challenges like inflammation, blood sugar dysregulation, anemia, leaky gut syndrome, food intolerances, infections, etc can create structural problems include; weak posture, disc problems, muscle strains from falls, accidents, injuries etc. So, in this situation you may get relief through chiropractic care or physical therapy, but if the metabolic problem is not corrected the headaches return when regular treatment is removed. Headaches can also be caused by poor brain firing. There are 3 parts to your brainstem which include the upper (called the mesencephalon), the middle (known as the pons), and the lower brainstem (known as the medulla). NORMALLY, your brain fires to the lower part of the brainstem (ponto-medullary area) which slows down the upper brainstem (mesencephalon). BUT when the lower brainstem fails to receive impulses of firing from the brain, it fails to slow down the upper brainstem. When that happens LOOK OUT YOU HAVE GOT A HEADACHE! There is a nerve mesh around the blood vessels that supply the brain with oxygen. When the upper brainstem over-fires, it causes the blood vessels in your brain to constrict and dilate VERY RAPIDLY. This irritates the nerve mesh surrounding those blood vessels, and THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE THE HEADACHE! OUCH! Let s back up a minute. Perhaps you are wondering at this point, How did my upper brainstem start to over-fire and cause my headaches. I will give you the answer in one simple word STRESS! Physical, chemical, and or emotional stress causes the brain to decrease its firing to the lower brainstem. It could have been physical stress like a blow to the head in a car accident, chemical stress such as junk food or tobacco, or emotional stress of your job, relationship, or finances. BUT whatever the stressor was in the past YOU HAVE HEADACHES NOW! The good news is that we know how to fix the problem. SO HOW DO I HELP PEOPLE WHO SUFFER WITH HEADACHES AND MIGRAINES? The focus to recover headaches is simple, we have to find out what is CAUSING your headaches So, there is no canned formula. There is no miracle potion that I give to every patient. Each patient is unique. What is causing someone else s headache or

migraine is not necessarily going to be what is causing yours. So with each person we evaluate the structure and function of the neurology surrounding the spine. If there are structural problems affecting your headaches like: weak posture, poor joint function, muscle spasm, degenerative joint disease, etc I will formulate a plan to stabilize or correct these challenges. The BOTTOM LINE is that if you are suffering with migraines or headaches and you are tired of suffering it s time to do something different than what you are currently doing. It s time to pick up the phone and call my office to set up your exam, consultation and testing. Everyone who receives this report qualififies for our new patient get acquainted offer! Just mention it when you call..512.257.9500. See you soon!
