Sessions Descriptions We strongly advise phoning class instructors before going along to any classes to see if it is suitable for you. Active Seniors Fitness A fitness class designed with older adults in mind. Improves balance, mobility, strength and stamina. Low impact, short sets of exercise. Chair-based options available. Aerobics Low impact aerobics open to all abilities and ages. Ideal for a great fat burning workout and a real energy boost. This class will help you increase stamina, tone up and relieve stress after a long day. Aerobics 50+ This is the perfect class for over 50 s as well as those who prefer a lighter aerobic exercise. It is a safe & effective workout for the whole body and with regular participation you will notice a huge difference in energy, stamina, and strength. Aerobic Pump For anyone looking to get toned and fit fast, this is for you. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, this is an all over body workout burning lots of calories. Aqua Aerobics This aqua aerobics class is ideal for fat burning and for a real energy boost. Including resistance movements in the water, this aerobics class will help increase your stamina, tone, relieve stress. This is an intermediate level class. Archery Come and discover how to aim and shoot from one of the best GB Archery coaches in this great relaxed and fun session. Badminton A great activity to increase your overall fitness keeping you on your toes, improving your speed and hand-eye co-ordination. Come along with your racket and your voucher to play others in an informal setting (No instructor/coach at these sessions). Become SwimFit A mixed session which offers a tailored programme to increase your swimming ability. This session is for beginner to intermediate swimmers.
Blockfit Four blocks of different exercises within one class. 15 minutes of dance, 15 minutes of combat, 15 minutes of high intensity, ending with 15 minutes of yoga. Body Combat A unique total body workout that will tone, strengthen and shape your body whilst improving your aerobic fitness. It's simple, achievable, fun and effective with exercise options for all levels. Body Toning A class that is adaptable, fun and easy to follow encouraging everybody to work at their own pace. Boot/FitCamp An exercise class that is aimed at all levels of fitness and is about having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. Body weight exercises for muscle toning and cardio fitness to help burn fat. Boxercise/ BoxFit This is non-contact based fitness training for people of all abilities, gender and fitness levels. It can be taken at your own pace in a safe and friendly environment. It s a fun way to get fit, meet new people and learn new skills. Boxing Boxing fitness is suitable for anybody wishing to master boxing pad skills, ball work and basic punching and defending. Watch you fitness levels climb as we take you through this workout. Circuit Training Circuit training sessions will leave you exhilarated, exhausted, and eager for more. The enthusiastic instructors will present you with a circuit course that works every muscle in your body, whilst providing the motivation to keep you going for a whole session. Cycle Workout A motivated instructor led group class on 18 Spinner Blade stationary bikes, a friendly and social environment awaits. (Booking is advisable two days in advance) Eden Pump High repetition work working all your muscle groups by using low to medium weights. Evolve XT (Cross Training) If you are after a total body training experience with a difference then this is the class for you. It combines exciting exercises such as kettle bells, slam balls, tractor tyres, battle ropes and so much more that you won t get in any other session. Express Bikes & Kettlebells A 45 minute class 20 minutes on bike followed by 20 minutes on the kettlebells

Fit2Xercise Using all sorts of equipment across all key muscles groups. Catering for all abilities modifying exercises where required FitSteps FitSteps combines the graceful steps of ballroom and the up tempo steps of Latin dancing to create a fun, energetic and effective way to exercise. It is a fabulous fitness workout with a Strictly feel that would appeal to everyone, even if they can t dance. Football (Informal) Our fun pay and play kick about is great for when you want to play without committing to a weekly game but still have that social outlet. The sessions are for all abilities, fitness levels and perfect for those who haven t played in a while. Full Body Conditioning Equipment based class which uses resistance exercises to shape the whole body. Improve your balance, stability, agility, and a toned figure. Challenge gravity with one of our classes and lift your shoulders, spine and abs into great posture. Jazzercise A complete body workput that combines cardio and strengthening exercises to current and popular music. Suitable for all ages. Karate Joining a Karate class is a great way to develop fitness, confidence and selfdefence. Concentrating on punches, kicks, strikes and some throws it is great for
beginners. It promotes the use of the natural posture and alignment of the body, making it easy and safe to learn. Kettlercise This class is a great fun & covers all levels of fitness from beginner to advanced exerciser. An all over body workout and toning programme with step by step instructions in a relaxed environment. Kickboxing Kickboxing is a fantastic way of losing weight, for self-defence or just to keep yourself fit. We are open for everyone s specific needs and want you to get as much as possible out of each session Kuk Sool Won A martial arts class suitable for beginners. Incorporating cardio strength and flexibility exercises with technical learning in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Legs, Bums and Tums A light hearted class which will tone and shape those targeted areas. It will also increase stamina and cardiovascular fitness meeting the needs of the complete beginner or the aerobic enthusiast. MS SwimFit MS Swimfit offers swimming sessions specifically for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis. Carers swim for free as required. Pilates Pilates is excellent for conditioning and strengthening core muscles and tightening your surrounding muscles giving you a stronger and leaner appearance. Pilates develops flexibility, posture and muscle tone as well as improving concentration and reducing stress. Pure Pilates All our classes are fun and easy to follow and we encourage people to work at their own pace. Classes are open to all and are adaptable for varying abilities. Pilates is ideal for beginners or those nervous about joining a fitness class. Shotokan Karate Learn about Shotokan, it is widely practiced and considered to be a traditional and influential form of karate. Starting with a stretch, the session moves through basic movements which gradually increase in intensity and complexity. Spinning An excellent cardio based stationary bike exercise allowing you to increase muscle strength, fitness, and endurance. Whether you are a beginner searching for something new or if you re looking for a tough endurance workout, spinning is a great way to get in shape and stay in shape. Step+
This is a high energy and fun fitness class where you perform a range of aerobic moves using step platforms to enhance your workout. No matter what your age, ability or experience, step class is an inclusive activity suitable for everyone. Come along and enjoy! Street Games Sessions Sessions are informal, delivered at the right time and in the right style for anyone aged 14+. Most are multisport sessions and some are football specific, check the activity programme for more information. Stroke Exercise Group This class is ideal for anyone who is recovering from a stroke, cardiac incident or who finds the gym too demanding. It provides exercises that will increase aerobic fitness, mobility and strength, in a fun and sociable environment. SwimFit Clinic SwimFit clinic aims to improve an individual s technique and fitness. The programme is based on a gym class concept with instructors leading tailored sessions to suit individual needs. This session is for intermediate to advanced swimmers. Tae Kwon-Do Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts) is open to everyone regardless of age or gender. All you need to progress is enthusiasm, patience and a willingness to learn this fun and effective form of self-defence. You will gain useful skills that will improve your confidence and build your physical abilities. Tai Chi Tai Chi is practiced both for its defence training and its health benefits. It combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements improving balance, reducing stress and general mobility. Tai Chi & Qi Gong These sessions are perfect for individuals over 50. They offer specialist, part seated movements along with other gentle exercises aiming to improve circulation, balance and enjoyment. This Girl Can Become SwimFit Inspired by Sport England s This Girl Can campaign, these sessions are for women only and are suitable for beginners and intermediates. A Crèche is available during the Thursday session and a separate lane is offered Wednesday evening alongside the SwimFit session T-PHIT A unique total body workout that will tone, strengthen and shape your body whilst improving your aerobic fitness. It s simple, achievable, fun and effective with exercise options for all levels. Walking Football Do you enjoy a kick about but your fitness isn t what it used to be? Walking football is perfect for beginners or those looking to get back into sport. It is a great opportunity
to improve fitness, co-ordination and have a laugh. It is aimed at those aged 50+ and all abilities are welcome. Yoga Yoga classes will ensure you are fully relaxed by uniting body and mind together in total harmony. Yoga is an excellent way to improve posture and enhance our mental well-being; decreasing stress and anxiety whilst increasing flexibility, balance and core stability. (If you have never done yoga before please consider the Do Yoga class). Zumba and Zumba Gold An incredible full body workout, you will feel confident and energised after just one session. It has an infectious nature and is a great way to socialise and meet new friends in a fun and friendly environment. Zumba Gold is a lower intensity class. Zumba Step Like Step Aerobics? Like Zumba? This class combines the awesome toning and strengthening power of Step Aerobics, with the fun fitness-party that is Zumba to deliver a leg toning, calorie burning class.
