We got involved with DSAW nd ttended our first Down Syndrome Awreness wlk when our dughter Lucy ws 11 months old. We hve since ttended mny other DSAW events. Our strt with DSAW ws slow, but we hve enjoyed growing with DSAW over the yers. Wht does the wlk men to you nd your fmily? The DSAW wlk is dy tht is focused on celebrting Lucy nd other individuls with Down Syndrome. Our closest friends nd fmily join us for the dy or the whole weekend. We love to spend time together during the wlk just enjoying ech other's compny. Lucy knows it is her specil dy (she's 8 now) nd looks forwrd to it.
