Over 1/3 (36.3%) of American Indians in the project area are obese American Indians in the Steps project area have higher rates of diabetes Over 50% of American Indians in the Steps project area do not get the do not eat the recommended five fruits and vegetables each day American Indians in the project area were more likely to currently smoke cigarettes * Steps project area for 2005 BRFSS data refers specifically to Adair and Cherokee counties
