The Accu-Chek Insight diabetes therapy system Designed with your patients lives in mind With pre-filled insulin cartridge

Designed for easy patient training The Accu-Chek Insight diabetes therapy system can save you time and effort every time you train a patient. The system requires fewer handling steps for some relevant routine tasks 1 compared with other insulin pump systems and is designed to be easy to explain and easy to understand. With the pre-filled insulin cartridge*, you and your patients may experience even more convenience and ease of use compared with the manual filling of insulin pump cartridges. Patients who switch to the new Accu-Chek Insight diabetes therapy system after having already used the Accu-Chek Insight standalone diabetes manager during MDI therapy may find the transition particularly easy and seamless. * The pre-filled insulin cartridge is available in selected EU markets.

The Accu-Chek Aviva Insight diabetes manager smart remote control with the proven Accu-Chek bolus advisor 2 5 User-friendly interface Full color touchscreen Straightforward programming of therapy settings on the device The Accu-Chek Insight insulin pump easy to use Intuitive user interface and color display Dedicated, ergonomically designed adapter for an easy change of the cartridge and infusion sets Guided cartridge change process, supported by automatic detection of the plunger position The pre-filled insulin cartridge easy to load One-step loading easy to train and use No air bubbles to remove from the cartridge* The Accu-Chek 360 configuration software easy system setup Easy configuration of settings, such as basal rate profiles and bolus advisor parameters Quick transfer of settings from the Accu-Chek Combo insulin pump system or the Accu-Chek Aviva Expert system * Compared to self-filling. For technical reasons a small air bubble may remain in the cartridge. For all details regarding the cartridge and infusion set change, please see the instructions for use of the Accu-Chek Insight insulin pump manual.

Designed for individual patients needs The Accu-Chek Insight system can be customized quickly and easily to set up effective pump therapy according to patients individual needs. This is particularly useful when treating children, pregnant patients and patients who enjoy sports. Do you know patients like him? Active young boy, loves soccer and playing outside His diabetes has been recently diagnosed With the Accu-Chek Insight system, his special therapy needs including low insulin requirements are met. While playing outside, he uses a personalized temporary basal rate. Choice of delivery options Select from 4 different bolus delivery speeds Option to delay start of insulin delivery to meet individual medical needs (e. g. gastroparesis) to support better matching of insulin action with glucose absorption 8 Several boluses can run in parallel Maximum correction factor setting 600 mg / dl / U Very low minimum basal rate 0.02 U / h Basal rate increments = 0.01 U / h (for basal rates up to 5.0 U / h) Low minimum bolus dose Low minimum bolus dose = 0.05 U Low bolus increments = 0.05 U (for bolus doses up to 2.0 U)

Designed to meet therapy needs The Accu-Chek Insight system is designed to provide effective pump therapy for patients with varying needs. To reduce errors, it gives warnings, advice and support both visually and acoustically. Clear information Accurate blood glucose monitoring values within seconds The proven Accu-Chek bolus advisor 2 5 Customizable reminders (e.g. bolus delivery, infusion set change) and warnings Smart safety messages for patients with low vision Accurate insulin delivery Patients do not miss any insulin (basal / bolus ) when changing the battery or cartridge: All insulin not delivered while the pump has been in PAUSE mode (max. 15 minutes) will be delivered after restarting insulin delivery on top of the ongoing rate. Sensitive occlusion detection 6 Pre-filled cartridge (160 U): At medium basal rate of 1.0 U / h: 3 h 10 min (maximum time until occlusion alert) The recent ABACUS study demonstrated that the Accu-Chek bolus advisor can support improved glycemic control, reduced glycemic variability and significantly enhanced treatment satisfaction, without any increase in severe hypoglycemic episodes. 2 The recent BABE study demonstrated that the frequent use of an automated bolus advisor was associated with significant improvements in glycemic control and more therapy changes with no increase in hypoglycemia in pediatric patients treated with insulin pump therapy. 9
