You should not consider information or equipment provided by Light Therapy Options, L.L.C. to be the practice of medicine or to replace consultation with a dermatologist, physician, or other medical practitioner. Lifetime Warranty Your Genesis DH is covered by a lifetime warranty. Your purchase validates your warranty. There is nothing to fill out a return. If your light fails through normal use, please contact us by phone or email. For domestic orders, we will email you a prepaid USPS return shipping label with instructions. In the absence of any obvious physical abuse, we will replace your light with a brand new one at no cost to you. Safety & Precautions Do not use during pregnancy. Do not directly illuminate the thyroid gland. Do not use light therapy while you are taking any medication that causes photosensitivity. Consult your pharmacist or physician if you have any concerns. Do not look directly into the LED Power Head when the device is lit, even if standard goggles are worn. To avoid the chance of unexpected glare, face the bulb away from you when you first turn it on. Protective eyewear has been provided. This eyewear is required to be worn during all facial treatments. Do not use with oral or topical photosensitizing agents. The Three Center LEDs Are Not Working When you turn your Genesis DH on, the first thing you are going to notice is that the three LEDs down the middle don t look like they are on. That is because they are emitting near infrared energy, which is not visible to the naked eye. Please be assured that if the red LEDs are lit, the infrared LEDs are working, too, and are just as powerful as the red you see. 1
Genesis DH General Guidelines for Use Before Each Treatment: Cleanse the skin with a non-medicated cleanser, and dry. This will remove anything that may block or interact with the light. Treatment Time: Unless otherwise directed, adhere to the treatment times recommended in each section. Longer treatment times are not necessary and may lessen the effectiveness of your treatments. Light Angle: Light has the greatest penetration at the most direct angle. Since most surfaces of the human body are curved, move the light to cover each major angle. For example, a wound may wrap around the calf. It may take two or more different angles to fully cover a single wound. Give the full treatment time to each major angle needed. After Each Treatment: Your regular skin care products may be applied according to your normal routine. Treatment Frequency & Maintenance: Unless otherwise stated, the minimum treatment frequency is once weekly. The maximum treatment frequency is once daily. It is recommended to treat once daily until the desired result is achieved, then reduce treatments to once or twice per week as needed to maintain your results. 2
