What is the Holiday Hamper Program? For more than 15 years, the Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs (TKBGC) have been providing holiday support to its members and families in need with the assistance of corporate sponsors and individual donors. With the help of these honourary elves, we are able to provide toys & gifts, clothing, household and hygiene items, food vouchers and other wish list items for families, children and youth that may otherwise go without. This program is very unique in that 100% of every dollar raised 1 in support of the Holiday Hamper Program is spent directly on our children and their families. 20152016 Was A Great Year! 484 With the support of over 90 donors, TKBGC was able to provide holiday support to 484 children & youth and 230 individual families. 1. TKBGC incurs an administration fee of 3% for all financial donations made by credit card. This fee can be added into your donation if requested.
About Us TKBGC Core Values: Inclusion and Opportunity Respect and Belonging Empowerment Collaboration Speaking Out Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs (TKBGC) is a leader in providing safe, supervised after school care for children and youth. We serve two priority communities in Toronto s inner city; Regent Park and Trinity Bellwoods. Founded in 1921, we are one of the oldest clubs in the country. In our 90+ years, we have served more than 50,000 children. 69% of TKBGC members come from families that earn less than 20,000 annually, some live on as little as 8,000 a year. Our kids struggle against poverty and isolation in neighbourhoods surrounded by homelessness, prostitution, drugs, and street crime. Over the course of a year, we serve over 1,300 children and youth. Our clubs provide programs to children and youth between the ages of 6 and 24 years. TKBGC after-school programs run from 3:00pm 9:00pm, the time when the youth crime rate is at its highest. Our clubs offer children a safe place to channel their energy and introduce them to challenging activities that encourage healthy living, personal growth, learning and community involvement. We are a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada and a United Way Member Agency.

How You Can Help Adopt a Family or Individual Make a Financial Donation Products & In-Kind Donations Donors can decide on their level of support by way of a dollar amount or number of people they wish to support. Once the support level is decided, the donor will receive the wish list(s) of the individuals they have been matched with. The donor now takes the list, does the shopping and wrapping and then arranges to have the hamper picked up or delivered to TKBGC. All financial donations directly benefit a child or youth member. Your dollars may be directed towards one individual or family or may be pooled with other financial donors so that we can be sure to support as many individuals as possible. All financial donations of 20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt with a valid email address and documentation of donation or receipts.
