Myoglobin, Serum Discontinued Test effective February 28. This test is being replaced by Myoglobin, SerPl QN. Myoglobin, SerPl QN Preferred container Orange SST; Gold, Red, Lt Green, Green and Lavender are acceptable. Minimum volume 0.5 ml refrigerated ser/plas. Method Immunoenzymatic Assay; TAT 2-4 hours. Protein Elp Ser IFE Rflx New Test to meet regulatory compliance, effective Feb 23. Physicians must authorize the reflex to IFE on abnormal serum protein electrophoresis results. Specimen requirements are the same as for Protein Elp Ser QN Protein Elp Ser QN Current test will no longer reflex to IFE upon pathologist interpretation, effective Feb 23. Only the results of serum protein electrophoresis will be reported. Protein Elp Urn IFE Rflx New Test to meet regulatory compliance, effective Feb 23. Physicians must authorize the reflex to IFE on abnormal urine protein electrophoresis results. Specimen requirements are the same as for Protein Elp Ur QN Protein Elp Ur QN Current test will no longer reflex to IFE upon pathologist interpretation, effective Feb 23. Only the results of urine protein electrophoresis will be reported. Sulfonylurea Hypogly Ur Discontinued Test. An appropriate replacement is serum test, Hypoglycemic Agent Scrn. Trichomonas PCR QL The Gen-Probe Aptima specimen transport system will be validated for Trich PCR QL by March 1. Normal Range Change On Wednesday, Feb. 15, the IU Health Pathology Chemistry Laboratory changed the reference range for Hepatitis B Surface Antibody. This change is in accordance with CDC guidelines. Current reference range: < 5 miu/ml = Negative (presumed not immune) 5.00 11.9 miu/ml = Borderline (immune status indeterminate) 12 miu/ml = Positive (considered immune) New Reference Range: < 10 miu/ml = Negative (presumed not immune) 10 miu/ml = Positive (considered immune) With questions on test requirements or ordering, please call Client Services at 317.491.6000. Select the beginning number or letter of the test. Once displayed, click on the test you want to view - Or- B. Type the test name or part of the name into the search field. Click the search button.
