Educational Symposia JOIN US! LIVE IN ORLANDO OR LIVE WEBCAST Imaging of Frequently Under Recognized Seronegative Spondyloarthritis March 19, 2016 Disney s Yacht Club Resort Lake Buena Vista, Florida 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM

About The Meeting The estimated prevalence of Seronegative Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is approximately 0.4 to 1.9 percent, depending upon ethnicity. The study published in 2012 in Arthritis Care & Research using data directly from the Center of Disease Control s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) program reported that as much as 1% of the adult United States population may have axial spondyloarthritis. Thus, this means that as many as 2.7 million adults may be affected by the disease. According to National Arthritis Data Workgroup, estimated prevalence of spondylarthritides in the United States is 0.6 million to 2.4 million. This also suggests that SpA is at least as prevalent as rheumatoid arthritis, but yet an under recognized condition. The spectrum of SpA diseases can be a challenge to diagnose due to their overlapping features, unpredictable nature, and many manifestations. Diagnostic tools for these conditions are limited. Therefore, imaging plays a very important role in the diagnosis, as well as prognosis and monitoring of patients with SpA. There is an unmet need to increase awareness and educate the radiologists, rheumatologists, and other health care providers. Target Audience Radiologists, rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, sports medicine and primary care physicians. MR technologists should also find this meeting beneficial. Program Accreditation Physicians: Educational Symposia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Educational Symposia designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Technologists: This program has been submitted to the ASRT. The number of A CE credits will be available approximately 30 days prior to the meeting. Please visit www.edusymp.com or call 1-800-338-5901 regarding the availability of Category A CE credit. Educational Objectives Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to: Review epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical features, and diagnostic criteria of Spondyloarthritis (SpA), mainly Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) and Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). Discuss radiographic features of SpA: axial and peripheral. Recognize the indications for MRI in SpA and discuss the MRI features of SpA in peripheral disease, sacroiliac joints and the spine. Review ultrasound findings in SpA patients. Discuss the use of CT, scintigraphy and other imaging techniques in SpA. Review literature evaluating the use of imaging in SpA. No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity. 2015 Educational Symposia
