Course Description: This course is designed to be an educational update and review of several sports medicine topics. The attendees will find the course to have valuable current medical information to help the medical professional better treat athletes and orthopedic patients. The lectures will provide an opportunity for panel discussions to discuss current medical topics in sports medicine. The course will also offer attendees a hands on opportunity to enhance their clinical skills with various breakout sessions. Meeting Topics for ATC Meeting July 29th and July 30th Emergency Management for Cardiac Emergencies Emergency Management for Athletic Injuries and Illnesses Emergency Management in Dive & Hyperbaric Medicine Update on the Shoulder Instability & Surgical Techniques Update on Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Update on Foot & Ankle Injuries Sports Concussion Management Evaluation and treatment of Post-Concussion Syndrome Neurocognitive Testing in Post-Concussive Patient Sleep and its Effect on Athletes and Athletic Performance Nutrition Recommendations for Athletes Manual Therapy Techniques Cupping Casting Techniques Program Goals: 1.
