SENERGY MEDICAL GROUP TO CONDUCT WOUND STUDY USING THE TENNANT BIOMODULATOR MICROCURRENT DEVICES AS ADJUNCT THERAPY IN ACCELERATING CHRONIC WOUND HEALING The care and management of chronic wounds patients challenge both the patient and practitioner. An appreciation of evidence-based treatment education, as well as an understanding of the psychophysiology of chronic wounds are important elements in management of chronic wound patients. Emerging new technologies present new, effective approaches to future wound care. Wound-related education leads to improved communication, continuity of care, shortened hospital stays and reduced costs, as well as help further accelerated progress of chronic wound care. 7 Dr Tennant s microcurrent, neuromodulation technology as an adjunct therapy has demonstrated remarkable results in accelerating wound healing and pain management. As an emerging, recognized technology, the Tennant Biomodulator capabilities can reduce the burden on patients, health care professionals and the health care system. In the US alone, chronic wound care affects 5.7 million patients and costs an estimated 20 billion dollars annually. 8 Senergy Medical Group invites you to participate in a collaborative IRB Wound Study using the Tennant Biomodulator as treatment to accelerate chronic wound healing. This study is to gather data for electrical stimulation as an adjunct therapy in wound healing and pain management in patients with chronic wounds. ELECTRICAL STIMULATION MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC WOUNDS Microcurrent Voltage Stimulation Stages of Chronic Wound Healing Using Biomodulator Blood Flow Keratinocyte Proliferation Advanced Remodeling Skin Temperature Skin Temperature Re-Epithelialization Vasodilation Vasodilation The Role of Electrical Stimulation in the Management of Chronic Wounds Inflammatory phase: Electrical Stimulation increases blood flow, tissue oxygenation and stimulates fibroblasts while reducing edema and providing an increased antibacterial effect. Proliferative phase: Electrical Stimulation increases membrane transport, collagen matrix organization, wound contraction and the stimulation of DNA and protein synthesis. Remodeling phase: Electrical Stimulation increases epidermal cell proliferation and migration, as well as, stimulation of fibroblasts thus enabling enhanced wound closure.

HEALING IS VOLTAGE The Tennant Biomodulator modifies the pathological signal so the brain becomes aware of inputting the electrical impulses to increase voltage. These impulses are never the same and, therefore, cannot be adapted to, forcing the body to respond by making new healthy cells. The central nervous system involvement is reintroduced by neuropeptides that alter the regulatory pathway, breaking the repetitive pathological cycle and allowing cellular and organ recovery. The result is due to the disappearance of pain because of healing; not just masking pain. 4 Case Example Consider that a patient s thumb reads normally as -25 millivolts. Suddenly the patient s thumb is hit with a hammer. The injured thumb will immediately go to -50 millivolts so it can make new cells to replace those injured by the hammer. It is red, swollen, hot, and has pulsing pain because the dilated vessels are dumping new nutrients into the area to make new cells. As it finishes replacing the damaged cells, the thumb will return to being pink and have normal voltage. 5 However, if the thumb area exhausted its voltage before all the new cells could be made or if it couldn t reach -50 millivolts in the first place, the patient now has chronic pain that hurts all the time. It will never heal with medications or surgery because it cannot make new cells. Measuring it with the Tennant Biomodulator and then using the Biomodulator to insert electrons with the proper voltage and frequency allows the body to raise the voltage to -50 millivolts. It makes new cells and is thus healed and the pain is permanently gone. 6 4,5,6 Healing is Voltage, The Handbook, 3rd Edition, Jerry Tennant, MD, MD(H), PScD
