The Unholy Alliance What the Tobacco Industry Says: What the Convenience Store Industry Says: Today s teen-ager is tomorrow s potential regular customer and the overwhelming majority of smokers first begin to smoke while in their teens. We chose to focus on teens because of their strategic position as the next generation of shoppers. If the convenience industry can connect with them now, we will be laying a foundation for building lifelong loyalty. 3
