We aim to support all of our residents to be independent and get the most out of life - both in the home and local community.

Welcome to our home A warm welcome to St Teresa s. We are located on the outskirts of Penzance in Cornwall. The home overlooks the beauty of Mounts Bay and boasts panoramic views of Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance. You will find our home has a cheerful and friendly atmosphere with many of our residents choosing to take part in activities and trips. You re very welcome to visit us to see St Teresa s for yourself. Just let us know and we ll be happy to show you around. I enjoy cooking and baking for myself and others. Pat, resident

The right support The support we offer at St Teresa s is based on what our residents tell us they want. We will always ask what you would like to do or achieve. You can trust us to know what we are doing. As a charity we have been providing support to people for over 60 years and we now work at over 200 sites in the UK. Our friendly team are fully trained to provide 24 hour care and support.

Great facilities St Teresa s is well equipped and comfortable - somewhere you can relax and feel at home. Our facilities include: a lounge dining area function room large well-maintained garden We have a domestic team who make sure our home is thoroughly cleaned every day. Your room We have 27 bedrooms, divided equally between three units. Most rooms have overhead hoists and can be adapted to your individual needs. You are very welcome to fully furnish your room or simply bring personal items. Our manager will be happy to discuss furnishing options with you. Dining choices At St Teresa s we make sure mealtimes can be enjoyed by everyone. We offer different meal options that are designed to suit you. Our menus are planned by our residents and staff - you are welcome to contribute suggestions and ideas. Tell us about your favourite dish!

Enjoy activities At our home you ll have the chance to enjoy all sorts of activities we aim to make sure there is something for everyone, whether you want to socialise, exercise or learn new skills. Our residents have recently enjoyed arts and crafts, film nights, games and barbecues. Our home is located in the town of Penzance, which has many amenities including a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes many of which are wheelchair-accessible. There is also a cinema and theatre. Guests always welcome We welcome visitors at any time - for a chat, a cup of tea or a meal.

Our volunteers Our residents also enjoy the support of a fantastic team of trained volunteers. They help in so many ways - from assisting with activities and providing transport to simply being there for a chat. A friendly team All our staff and volunteers are screened by the Disclosure and Barring Service before they start work with us. We also make sure new members of our team share our values and are reliable and trustworthy. At St Teresa s our team includes men and women of different ages. Our Service Manager, Diane, is supported by a very experienced team of nurses who are able to look after residents with complex care needs. Everyone receives frequent training to make sure we always provide you with the highest quality service. We practise the Gold Standard Framework and are accredited at Beacon Status. Once you move in we will regularly get in touch with you to check you re happy with how we support you.
