A gift in memory of a loved one Remember someone special by donating a gift in their memory to RICE The Research Institute for the Care of Older People

Give in memory of a loved one Bereavement for a loved one after their death can be difficult and some people need something positive to focus on. RICE recognises this need and has introduced the following remembrance funds as a way of remembering someone special to you, your family and friends. A gift in memory or creating a remembrance fund will also help RICE to continue with our research, diagnosis, support and treatment for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. RICE - The Research Institute for the Care of Older People

1. Create a remembrance fund 3. Donations in lieu of flowers Named after the person who has passed away, your personalised remembrance fund gives relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues a focus for making their own individual contribution to RICE. People can make donations to the fund at any time, and it is kept open for as long as you wish it to continue. People may wish to make a single donation, a regular gift or take on a challenge (e.g. a trek, marathon, colour runs, sky dive) or arrange/participate in a fundraising event (e.g. cake sales, coffee mornings, raffles, pub quizzes). Anyone can set up a RICE remembrance fund but we advise that it is done in agreement of the loved one s family. If you are interested in setting up a remembrance fund in the name of someone you love please fill in the form at the back of this booklet or contact on the below: You may wish to support RICE by requesting donations, in place of, or as well as flowers at funerals. Please let your funeral director know that you have chosen to support RICE in lieu of flowers. 4. Regular giving A regular gift in memory of your loved one can help RICE to plan and develop our services more effectively and help more people with dementia. Telephone 01225 476 420 Email fundraising@rice.org.uk 2. One-off gift in memory of a loved one Make a single gift to RICE to remember a loved one by completing the form at the back of this booklet or contacting by phone or email.
