COURSE HIGHLIGHTS Discussion of recent developments in medical, surgical, radiation and medical oncologic care of patients with malignancies of the chest. Emphasis on recent developments in molecular pathways of carcinogenesis and immunobiology. Novel surgical and interventional techniques. Distinguished faculty will present important clinical advances and clinical trials including surgical, medical, radiation and palliative management. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to: Evaluate the benefit for minimally invasive over open thoracic surgery. Recognize the role of particle beam radiation in thoracic malignancy. Demonstrate knowledge of the role of immunotherapy in thoracic cancers. TARGET AUDIENCE This program is designed for medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, internists, pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and any healthcare professionals engaged in evaluation and care of patients with thoracic cancers. CREDIT AMA: Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
