Louise Principal Social Worker Redcar & Cleveland is a place that values staff and has offered me numerous opportunities for career development. I have worked as a front line social worker in children s services, specialist social work roles, development and project work, team manager, service manager in adult services and now Principal Social Worker. The training opportunities are varied and excellent quality. I wouldn t work anywhere else!

Denise Team Manager I have had the privilege of working for both Children s and Adult Social Care within Redcar & Cleveland Council and have had a variety of roles including Independent Reviewing Officer in Children s Services and Team Manager in both service areas. I have had a great deal of experience within the safeguarding arena and have enjoyed all aspects of my roles and have received support throughout.

I have worked for Redcar & Cleveland for 3 years, I had a very positive first year supported through the ASYE programme. I have had a really positive experience of supervision and the team is great. I have had opportunities to attend excellent training which has enabled me to progress my career. Jodi Adult Services

Mandy Service Manager, Adults I have worked in for 30 years. There are loads of work opportunities to develop and progress. I feel valued as an employee. People that I work with and that have been managed by have always encouraged me. There is mutual respect for each other. There are clear lines of accountability but you are trusted to be a professional.

Becky Adult Services I have worked for Redcar & Cleveland for 2 years. I felt really supported through my Assessed & Supported Year in Employment (AYSE). It was quite daunting so early in my career. I had a protected caseload and a really good induction.

Jodi Children s Services I have worked in Redcar & Cleveland as a social worker for 2 years. I felt very supported through my Assessed and Supported Year in Employment. I work in a great team and there is a really strong team ethic here.

Claire Adult Services I have worked for Redcar & Cleveland for 7 years now. Redcar & Cleveland has some really good training opportunities I really enjoyed my Best Interest Assessor Training. It s personal here, the senior managers know your name and they re all approachable.

Daniel Children s Services Redcar & Cleveland is a good place to work there some really good teams, I have very supportive colleagues, they all look out for each other.

Claire Children s Services Senior managers in Redcar & Cleveland are really approachable, you can always get hold of them to talk about decisions. You feel involved in things that are happening here, we have Roadshows that ask for your views on what it s like to work here. I like what I do here.

Mel Children s Services I have worked in for two years, following the completion of my Social Work degree. I have felt supported and nurtured throughout that time by both my colleagues and managers. I work in an environment that can often be challenging but one which is also encouraging and respectful too. The diverse ideas and styles of all of the people I work with bring something new to my role every day, making each day a new experience with something to learn.
