PARTIAL MOBILE DENTURE with Vertys Prothesis Excel / Plus termo-polimerizing resin What you need for this working: EQUIPMENT 10-0010 VERTYS SPLIT CAST & GUM 10-100 APOLIX 10-3000 AR.GO 10-2501 FURBO ALU BIG 10-130 APOLIX CU-BA (Curing Basket) 200-2850 MIXING KIT 10-401 VERTYS DYNAMO BLOCK 10-1050 VERTYS ARTIC LINK 1F + 1M 200-2605 VERTYS SIRIN- GHE + HANDLE CONSUMABLES 200-2400 SIS EXCEL LIQUID 200-2403 SIS EXCEL CLASSIC PINK VEINED 200-4002 VERTYS ORANGE SPECIAL LUBE 200-2420 SIS PLUS LIQUID 200-2423 SIS PLUS CLASSIC PINK VEINED 200-2000 VERTYS ORANGE PLUS 200-2001 VERTYS EASY PUTTY 5 Kg 200-2020 HIGH SECURITY FLUID 200-2490 VERTYS LUBE 1/5

INTRO The dental impression arrive in the Laboratory already disinfected and together with the work requirements, medical office data and references about the patient, or alternatively, of a identification code The operator assigned to the acceptance, control the completeness of the data, records the work and fill out the technical file. The operator verifies the material by which the impressions were obtained and states the kind of material to be used to develop the model. It s advisable gypsum Class IV Mix the vaccum-sealed gypsum, in accordance with the proportions and time-table indicated by the manufacturer. For the impression casting could be helpul an electric shaker The model plater socket must be realized on the adequate VERTYSYSTEM systematic Split Cast. As an alternative, VERTYS ARTIC LINK M base may be used. Before disconnecting the model from impression, wait hardening time indicated by the manufacturer A. MODEL PREPARATION The developped model is desengaged, trimmed and squared The model should have a minimummhell of 15 mm of height and a 5 mm lateral border Place the models in articulator through the VERTYS ARTIC LINK F bases Proceed with the construction of the partial mobile prosthesis as usual Proceed with the teeth assembly and complete the wax modeling B. PREPARATION OF THE FIRST SILICONE -KEY WITH VERTYS ORANGE PLUS SILICONE Prepare about 60 g (30 g A + 30 g B) VERTYS ORANGE PLUS silicone Knead with care for 20 sec. and adapt the silicone on the gypsum model up to the limit of the partial denture, moulded in wax, vthat must remain open and free Make sure to cover the hooks with silicone Introduce the model, with VERTYS ORANGE PLUS mask, in the APOLIX heat press - without water - at 0 C termperature / zero celsius degrees (with thermostat disactivated) - at the pressure of at least 2 atmospheres, max 6 atmospheres - Allow the silicone to harden for 7 minutes Once hardening occured, put the model on the VERTY SPLIT CAST of the FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL muffle Insert the steel spacer needded in the 3 guide rods of the muffle Insert now the muffle cover on the 3 guide rods and check that there are no interferences and contacts In particular, make sure that there is a space of at least 1 cm between the template and the muffle cover C. SECOND MASK MOLD REALIZATION WITH VERTYS ORANGE PLUS Once hardened, apply the A VERTYS ORANGE SPECIAL LUBE spray insulation and completely isolate the primary mask in VERTYS ORANGE PLUS Prepare about 20 g (10 g A + 10 g B) HIGH SECURITY FLUID silicone and brush all the teeth with a brush, including the occlusal part. We reccomend also covering the gengival part with wax! - Apply the remaining material with a spatula - Let it harden for about 8/10 min. - This material allows us to obtain a precesion of the gengival modeling and an extraordinary tooth stability! Prepare about 40 g (20 g A + 20 g B) VERTYS ORANGE PLUS silicone Mix the silicone with care for 20 sec. and cover all the molded. Insert the model, with the VERTYS ORANGE PLUS mask, in the APOLIX heat press - without water - at 0 C / zerodegrees centigrade (with a thermostat deactivated) - at a pressure of at least 2 atmospheres, max 6 atmospheres - Let the silicone harden for 7 minutes Once the hardening occured, put the model on the Split Cast FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL muffle Insert the steel spacer needed in the 3 muffle guide rods Now insert the muffle cover on the 3 guide rods and check that there are no interferences and contacts We reccomend to check that there is a space of at least 1 cm between the second mask mold and the muffle cover 2/5

D. BOXING WITH VERTYS EASY PUTTY SILICONE Knead 160 g (80 g A + 80 g B) of VERTYS EASY PUTTY for at least 20 sec. Place about half of the dought on the inside of the FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL muffle cover and use the remanaining of the VERTYS EASY PUTTY for the boxing of the second template, containing the model and the product Insert the muffle cover into the appropriate guide rods and press until the cover is in contact with the spacers placed on the 3 guide rods Immediately lock the muffle cover with the appropriate locking bolts Tighten with the VERTYS DYNAMO BLOCK torque bolt First compress the silicone that has escaped from the upper muffle and, immediately after the silicone that leaked from the base model In this way the silicone is adapted to the second mask with a perfect seal This phase must be carried out with the most care in order to avoid the leakage of the resin during the injection phase To check the perfect FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL muffle sealing the spacers must not rotate on the guide rods Wait for the VERTYS EASY PUTTY to harden for 7 minutes Once hardened, unscrew the bolts, remove the muffle cover, from the 3 guide rods and extract the model from the first silicone mold template E. PREPARATION FOR ENTRY AND OUTPUT HOLES IN SILICONE FOR RESIN INJECTION Take the muffle cover with the second mold mask inserted and with the supplied reamers, drill two holes in the silicone in corrispondence of the two ending of the molding, starting from the inside of the template mold until it comes out of the muffle cover In this way the inlet and outlet channels for the injections of the acrylic resin are made Entry hole with large reamer #10-0022 Exit hole with small reamer #10-0021 Using the correct reamers ensures that the holes diameter exactly matches the diameter of the syringe tip that will be used for the resin injection The exit hole must always be made with the small reamer With the aid of a scalpel create a flaring in the silicone in corrispondence of both holes We will create two grooves that will serve to contain the resin reserve when it is injected F. WASHING AND DEGREASING THE PLASTER MODEL Wash and degrease tha plaster model and any hooks in hot water Immerce the model in water at a temperature of 40-45 C Leave it to soak for 10 minutes to allow it to saturate in this way it will be avoided that the plaster can absorb the manomer of the resin when it is injected Open the lid of the basket HELP #10-0008 and put the teeth in seats specially created, by doing so we avoid confusion once the wash has been completed Screw the lid of the Help and proceed to degreasing by steaming or boiling water Dry with compressed air G. PREPARATION OF THE MUFFLE FURBO ALU BIG / SMALL FOR RESIN INJECTION Create mechanical or chemical retention, groove shaped, in the acrylic teeth Reinsert the teeth into their seats, inside the second inside the second silicone mold template mold Remove the model from lukewarmwater and insulute it with a very thin layer of VERTYS LUBE alginic insulation Allow the palster model to dry Now reinsert the first template mold onto the plaster model Place any hocks in the seats created inside the first template mold The prepared model, must now be inserted into the second silicone template mold and brought together with VERTYS SPLIT CAST of the FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL flask Be sure that the necessary spacers are inserted in the 3 rods Insert the muffle cover into the guide rods and slide it until it contacts the steel spacers Close it with the fixing nuts of the flask. Tighten with the dynamometric VERTY DYNAMO BLOCK nut 3/5

H. PREPARATION OF RESIN FOR VERTYS PROTHESIS EXCEL / PLUS INJECTION Weight the necessary amount, powder and liquid of the acrylic resin for orthodontics, in the proportion indicated in the instructions for use of the VERTYS PROTHESIS EXCEL / PLUS For a partial denture average size around 10gs of powder and 6gs of liquid are needed Pour the liquind in the container MIXING CUP Then pour the powder and mix it for 10 seconds. Let it rest for another 15-20 seconds Now pour the resin into a one time use 30cc syringe. Make sure to close the tip of the siringe with your finger. Insert the plunger and invert the syringe Push the plunger until any bubbles escape Continue exerting the pressure on the plunger until a small amount of resin is released from the tip of the syringe. The resin is ready when it take on a stringy consistency The maturation and injection time may vary, even significally, depending on the environmental conditions I. INJECTIN PROCEDURE OF ACRYLIC RESIN With one hand hold the muffle at an angle of 45 so that the inlet hole is at the bottom of the exit hole. This will avoid the inclusion of bubbles during the injection phase Insert now the tip od the syringein the in lower entry hole and continuously push the plunger until the resin comes out of the upper hole (the injection time is usually 1/1,30 min.) Always keeping the syringe plunger under pressure, straighten the muffle, place it on the work bench and continue the injection phase It is important not to remove all the resin, but leave the groove, previously created, full Slowly extract the syringe while continuing to exert pressure Immediately fill the second reserve groove The injection is completed, and the two reserve buttons are now visible near the two inlet and outlet grooves The muffle can be inserted into a heat press when the resin becomes slightly elastic and does not stick to the fingers J. ACRYLIC RESIN POLYMERIZATION Insert the FURBO ALU BIG/SMALL muffle into the APOLIX heat press paying close attention to: 1. The water, inside the heat press, must be at room temperature 2. The water level must not exceed the muffle cover (it is very important that the two inlet and outlet holes of the resin are not covered with water) 3. The pressure must not exceed the 2 atmospheres For temperature and cure times follow the instructions for the use of VERTYS PROTHESIS EXCEL / PLUS resin After curin, remove the muffle from the heat press (or pressure cooker) Remove the two resin buttons, near the groove, with the aid of a plaster knife or cutting them with diamond disc Open the muffle and detach the model and the product from the silicone mold template Remove the two imput and output plugs with a cutter Cut the resin connection plug flush with the saddles K. CONTROL IN THE ARTICULATOR Insert the model with the skeleton in the articulator, for a control Proceed with finishing and polishing 4/5
