Initiation and Blessing from the Divine Mother In February 2012 I initiated the first distant Worldwide Womb Blessing Attunement, and in April 2012 I began to train women to give the Womb Blessing Attunement in person. In delivering the Womb Blessing Attunement, it became apparent that one particular aspect held a heartfelt intuition that it required a dedicated energy blessing in its own right, and also the need for this blessing to be shared simply and easily between women. And so the Earth-Yoni Blessing was born. I am so pleased to have the opportunity to share this beautiful Divine Mother energy with women around the world, especially at this time of change. The Earth-Yoni Initiation The Earth-Yoni Initiation is a worldwide sharing of divine energy in which participating women are initiated into the Earth-Yoni Blessing energy, and shown how to deliver the blessing and its divine energy to others. To participate, you must register for one of the two published times on the Earth Yoni Blessing day. Once you have registered, prepare for the Earth-Yoni Initiation by undertaking the meditations described below. At your chosen time, sit quietly for 15 minutes as the Earth-Yoni Initiation and 1

energy are sent to you. There are also additional Yoni exercises provided you may like to do after the initiation to help heal and awaken its sacredness. After a couple of days, you will be able to offer the Earth Yoni Blessing to women. Details on how to give an Earth-Yoni Blessing are given below. Through the blessing we form a physical link between women worldwide and the Divine Earth Yoni Energy. This Blessing from the Divine Mother links us to the Earth and to our hearts, and it returns sacredness to our Yoni. Enjoy! The Yoni The Yoni (used here as a name for both the vagina and the vulva) is a sacred shrine. It is the beautiful gateway through which energy from the Earth enters our body, the gateway through which life emerges, and through which we connect to the Earth. The Yoni links the outside world with the inner darkness and spiritual centre of our womb, and grounds us in the Earth. It is the physical shrine of the Divine Feminine in her aspect of young girl, adult woman, mature woman and elder woman. With so many women unsure in the modern world what it means to be female and feminine we have become disconnected from our Yoni. We no longer see it as a beautiful symbol of femininity. Neither do we see it as a source of spiritual, sensual and sexual prayer, nor a source of female empowerment. With the Yoni alienated we have lost our connection to Divine Mother, to her sexuality, abundance, strength, creativity and love. In this simple blessing the Divine Mother returns to us, to heal the alienation and awaken her energy and presence in our lives. When we give the Earth-Yoni Blessing we open to the love of the Mother Goddess and we allow her presence and energy to flow into our culture and society through the women that we bless. 3

Preparing for the Earth-Yoni Initiation Earth-Yoni Blessing There are no requirements for the Earth-Yoni Initiation; however, if you are able you may like to do these simple meditations to awaken your awareness of your Yoni. (You can also do these exercises after the initiation.) Sit cross-legged on the ground. If you are able, sit cross-legged and relaxed on the Earth or on grass. If you are unable to do this, you can do your meditation indoors. Dress in a long skirt, and if you are somewhere private and clean, do not wear underwear to increase your awareness of your Yoni touching the Earth. Imagine the shape your body makes where it touches the Earth. Meditation 1 Allow your mind to wander around what this shape means to you. What feelings do you have towards your Yoni and the Divine Mother. Meditation 2 Bring your awareness to your Yoni and imagine that as you breathe in you breathe into your body through the shrine of the goddess. Keep everything relaxed. Breathe in Nature. Breathe in your physical beauty, your abundance and connection to all life. Feel connected to the Mother in her expression as the Earth. Meditation 3 Bring your awareness to your Yoni, and sense it as the gateway between the light of the outside world and the inner darkness of your body. Feel the darkness of your womb as the cave of the Dark Mother, where she creates the Universe in her big cauldron and then gifts it to the world of light through your Yoni. Meditation 4 Bring your awareness to your Yoni. Sense it as the gateway between being a separate, single person, and being connected physically and emotionally with the masculine Beloved. (You don t have to have a male partner to do this exercise.) 4

Does your Yoni tense at the thought? Does it relax? Does your womb relax, and open to receive? Can you open to the Divine Masculine through your Yoni? With so much damage to the Yoni created by masculine religions, it can be difficult for many women to equate their Yoni and sex with sacredness. On the day of your Earth-Yoni Initiation: Before your initiation time: Create a comfortable space to meditate. You may like to have music, flowers, candles, incense and goddess imagery around you. Have a glass of water and some fruit, nuts, cake or biscuits on a plate to eat afterwards. You may like to record the initiation meditation in advance to play at your chosen time. At your registered initiation time: 1. Read through the meditation below, imagining the scenes as you read. If you have organised a group, you may like to choose one woman to read the meditation or play a recording. 2. Sit quietly for 15 minutes as the Earth-Yoni Initiation and energy is sent to you. You may feel tingling in your body, you may be aware of energy, colours or the Divine Feminine, or you may simply feel peaceful. 3. When you wish to end the session, stretch, drink your water and eat some food to help you ground. Eat consciously - savouring every bite and knowing that you are eating the body of the Mother make eating a sensual prayer of love and connection. 4. Wait a day or two before you offer the Earth-Yoni Blessing to other women. This supports your body in integrating the energy. 5. There are also additional Yoni exercises provided that you may like to do after the initiation to help heal and awaken its sacredness. 5

The Earth-Yoni Initiation The initiation will take 15 minutes. At your chosen time, sit quietly in a relaxed cross-legged position. You can sit on the edge of a cushion to support your spine, or you can sit in a chair if you are physically unable to sit on the floor for 15 minutes. Bring your hands into the Yoni position (see photograph). If you have difficulty making the shape, just make sure that your thumbs and finger tips touch. Think of your hands making a heart-shape. Read through the meditation below, giving yourself time to visualise and experience each aspect of it. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Bring your awareness to your womb, your Yoni and to the Earth. Breathe deeply. See, know, feel or imagine that you stand on a beautiful beach looking out towards a small and sacred island covered in trees. Before you is a small boat, and you step into it. As you sit, the boat gently moves away from the shore, carrying you towards the island. As you travel you feel the energy of the water, air and sun cleansing you, allowing you to release any tension and problems. (Pause) At the island you climb out of the boat and splash through the water to a white sandy beach. In front of you is a small hill made of large white boulders and covered in ancient trees. Winding upwards between the boulders is a rough path beside a small stream. You hear the noise of the stream as it flows in little waterfalls among the boulders. You follow the path upwards aware of the Earth beneath your bare feet, the gentle energies of the trees, plants and animals around you, and of warm touch of sunlight. You feel the sacred connection between your Yoni, life and the Earth. (Pause) The path ends at the source of the stream, which is a small shrine nestled between two huge white boulders. You see the water emerging from the opening of the shrine of the Earth Mother, and you feel the presence of her love surrounding you. 6

(Pause) You enter the shrine and find that it is circular, and made of beautiful white stone. A single high window of stained glass fills the space with radiant colours. You see plants, animals and birds outlined in the glass. In the centre of the space is a large white circular bowl with a long lip from which the waters of the bowl flow down to create the stream. You sit on a beautiful decorated cushion in front of the bowl. Feel your Yoni open and energy awakening within it. Your heart, Yoni and womb, all fill with the goddess s energy and deep love. (Pause) Be open to the presence of the Divine Feminine and her Blessing, and stay in this energy until the end of the Earth-Yoni Initiation time When you are ready to leave, cup your hands and drink from the waters flowing from the bowl. As you drink, make a commitment in your heart to the Divine Mother that you will pass her blessing on to other women. Feel gratitude for the deep connection she has made with your heart, your Yoni and the Earth. (Pause) Bring your awareness back to your physical body. Feel the weight of your body. Take a deep breath, and wiggle your fingers and toes. Open your eyes and smile. Be gentle with yourself after the initiation as the presence of the Divine Feminine energy integrates with your physical body. Eat some food to support your body and drink some water to help remove any toxins released. You may return to the shrine at any time to receive support, energy, guidance and love from Divine Mother. 7

How to give an Earth-Yoni Blessing When we ask someone for something, for example Please pass me the salt, what do we do? Do we use our will to make them pass us the salt? No! Do try hard to visualise them giving us the salt? No! We simply ask, open our hand, relax, and wait for them to give us the salt. The same is true with the Divine Feminine. We simply ask for her presence and blessing, become open to receive, and we relax knowing that she will give us what we ask for. The Earth-Yoni Blessing is a combination of a simple hand position, a prayer and an openness to receive and experience the energy. Earth-Yoni Blessing prayer From my Yoni to the Earth. From my heart to your hands. From the Mother s heart to your Yoni. Sacredness, love and life. Giving the Earth-Yoni Blessing: Both you and the receiver can be either sitting or standing for the Blessing. Ask the receiver to place her hands in the Yoni position. Gently hold your hands around hers. (See photograph). If you are giving the Blessing to more than one woman, have all the women place their hands in the Yoni position. An Earth-Yoni Blessing can take as long as you want, it can be given quickly if you have a large group. Say the words of the prayer either out loud or in your head. 8

The Earth-Yoni Blessing sequence: 1. Place your hands round the receiver s hands. Take a deep breath and bring your awareness to your Yoni. 2. From my Yoni to the Earth. Feel, know or see, your Yoni connecting to Mother Earth. Hold this awareness until you feel ready to go to the next step. 3. From my heart to your hands. Bring your awareness to your heart. Feel or imagine that there is a flow of loving energy from your heart, through your hands to the receiver s heart. Hold this awareness for as long as you wish. 4. From the Mother s heart to your Yoni, sacredness, love and life. See or know that pale pink light and ruby light surrounds you and your hands. You may be aware of the loving presence of the Divine Mother. 5. Hold awareness of the beautiful Divine Feminine energies for as long as you wish. 6. Separate the hands of the receiver. Place them either over her heart, or one hand over her heart and the other hand over her lower belly. Place your own hands over your heart and stay heart-centred in the loving energy for as long as you wish. At the end of the blessing open your eyes and smile. If you are giving the Blessing to another woman, move to stand or sit in front of her. Place her hands in the Yoni position, and start the sequence above. 9

Suggestions on using the Earth-Yoni Blessing Earth-Yoni Blessing Sharing groups Groups can be the most powerful way to share the energy of the Blessing. The larger the group, the stronger the presence of the Divine Mother. The givers of the Earth-Yoni Blessing can sit or stand, and women can approach them for the blessing. The blessing can take as long as you like, but in large groups it need only be a couple of minutes long. Do group Earth-Yoni blessings at the Full and Dark Moons, at seasonal festivals, as a meditation, as a healing, and as a celebration of love, life and femininity. Remember that both givers and receivers need to eat and drink something after the Earth-Yoni Blessing, so ask everyone to bring something to share and have a small feast! A simple blessing of love between friends Give and receive a five-minute Earth-Yoni Blessing as an expression of love and caring. It can be beautiful way to share healing and support or to share a prayer to the Divine Mother. It is also a beautiful way of acknowledging the Divine Feminine within ourselves and in our friends. An additional healing technique for healers Any therapist can add the Earth-Yoni Blessing to their therapies. You can offer the Earth-Yoni Blessing once per phase to help women connect with their femininity and sacredness throughout their cycles. A simple greeting The blessing can become a simple and beautiful way to greet other givers. When you meet each other, you can place your hands in the Yoni position and she can respond by placing her hands around yours. To give the greeting blessing she can say out loud or in her head Love and life and connect to her heart. Then she places her hands in the Yoni position and you place your hands around hers and give the greeting Blessing. 10

The Blessing can be quick, only a few seconds, but it is enough to connect us to the One Heart and the One Love of the Mother. It is a beautiful way of acknowledging the Divine Feminine in ourselves and in other women. If the woman you are meeting hasn t done the Earth-Yoni Initiation, then simply say Love and life in your mind and let the presence of the Divine Mother flow through you as you greet her. By giving this greeting we are recognising and awakening the Divine Mother in all women. A self-blessing Sit cross-legged with your hands in the Yoni position. Say the Earth-Yoni prayer out loud or in your mind, taking time to experience the energies and presence of the Divine Mother. At the end of the Blessing, place your hands over your heart and enjoy the connection with the Divine. A blessing for all women Sit cross-legged with your hands in the Yoni position. See, know or feel that in your hands you hold the hands of all the women of the Earth. Say the Earth-Yoni prayer out loud or in your mind, taking time to experience the energies and presence of the Divine Mother. At the end of the Blessing, place your hands over your heart and enjoy the connection with the Divine. Questions and answers: Can I do the initiation more than once? No, there is no need to take the initiation more than once. The purpose of the Earth-Yoni Initiation is to empower you to offer the Divine Mother energy through the Earth-Yoni Blessing. Do I have to do the meditation at the time registered? This is preferable, because the meditation links you to the energy of all the other women taking part. If you can t manage your registered time, simply do the meditation AFTER your chosen time and you will receive the Earth-Yoni Blessing initiation. 11

When can I give and receive the Earth-Yoni Blessing and how often? Earth-Yoni Blessing You can give your first Earth-Yoni Blessing two days after the initiation. You may give and receive the Blessing as often as you like. There is no limit to the number of Blessings a woman can give or receive. Who can receive the Earth-Yoni Blessing? Any woman or any age can receive the Earth-Yoni Blessing. Women can be pregnant, with or without a cycle or with or without a womb and ovaries. You may give the Earth-Yoni Blessing to both young girls and elderly women - this is a lovely way for them to feel involved in the female community. Can I charge for giving an Earth-Yoni blessing? The Earth-Yoni Blessing energy is free, but you can charge for your venue, your time, your travel etc. It is always good to take an exchange of some sort if you do not wish to accept money. Can I organise a group for the Worldwide Womb Blessing and give Earth-Yoni Blessings before or afterwards. Yes! This is a lovely idea. Can I initiate other women? At the moment no, but you can let them know about the next initiation date. Can I send the Earth-Yoni Blessing distantly? Yes. Choose a time and have the receiver sit at this time in meditation for about 10 minutes. Ask her to place her hands in the Yoni position and to relax, and be open to receive. She may like to have soft music playing in the background. Now imagine that the receiver is in front of you with her hands in the Yoni position. Do the Earth-Yoni Blessing sequence slowly as if she was with you in person. Allow yourself to experience the energies at each stage. Note: Have a clock, as you may find that the time will go very quickly! At the end of the session both you and the receiver need to have something to eat and something to drink. 12

Additional Earth-Yoni exercises There is a link between our feet and our Yoni through a circuit of energy. The flow of energy starts from the Earth and flows up one leg, then around our Yoni and back down the other leg to the Earth. This circuit of energy tends to be ignored, but it is very powerful for awakening a woman s sexual energies whatever her age, as well as her sensuality, body awareness, empowerment and selfconfidence. Yoni exercise: Completing the circuit For this exercise you can stand or sit on a chair or on the floor, or lie on the ground. Your feet need to be bare. Bend your knees slightly and place your big toes together so that they touch. Relax and be aware that there is a feeling of resonance between your big toes, your Yoni and your clitoris. Energy will naturally circulate from your left toe, up your left leg, circle once anti-clockwise around your clitoris, and flow down your right leg to your right toe. You don t need to do anything to make this energy flow, just bring your awareness to your toes and your clitoris. You may feel your sexual energies awakening and physical sensations in your Yoni. Yoni exercise: Spiralling Yoni Do the exercise above, but this time imagine that after the energy has circled once anti-clockwise around your clitoris that it then spirals three times anti-clockwise around the opening to your vagina before flowing down your right leg. You can imagine that you are drawing the line of energy on your body. You will find that your breathing will naturally settle in to harmony with the energy flow. This exercise can be really energising to do before sex or even during sex. It relaxes the Yoni, energises it and opens up the gateway between the material world and the spiritual world. Yoni exercise: Yoni Walking Our feet are our Yonis touching the Earth. Walk barefoot, especially if you live in a climate where you tend to wear shoes. As you walk, feel the sensitivity of your feet on the Earth. Feel the sexuality of the soles of your feet as if your Yoni was touching the ground. As you walk, feel Earth energy naturally energising your Yoni, returning the sacred link between woman and the Earth Mother. Each step becomes a prayer imprinted on the surface of the Earth. 13
