Trustee JIM NEVIUS 2 Yr. Trustee BOB MADORE 3 Yr. Trustee RON HEFNER Administrator WOTM OFFICERS RONDA CAMPBELL Senior Regent Vacant Jr. Graduate Regent DEBBIE MURRAY Junior Regent SHEILA CLONTZ Secretary/ Treasurer CRYSTAL EARLY Recorder Governor s Corner WOW a month has passed and I am very excited to tell you all some very exciting happenings and events that are being planned for our Lodge! By the time you get this the International Moose Convention will be over and a few of us will be back with information to share! The Moose conference was held on June 30-July 4 in St. Louis. It will be a time to meet new members, see long lost friends, and most of all see the leaders and learn more about Mooseheart and Moosehaven! As Governor, one of the many jobs is membership. I offer a comment about each member s duty to recruit new membership. I would prefer quality over quantity. Bring your known friends who have similar values and interests and invite them into our organization. The need for new membership should be driven by the need for more help to carry out our real duties. Numbers by itself mean very little. I urge you to use your own network of friends and get more of them involved with all of us. I would rather meet one great new member than ten new members who don t contribute any meaningful efforts to our cause. Bottom line is we need members to help carry out the many duties the lodge has and just a few workers isn t enough. My hope is that all members will come out and start helping in some capacity for at least an hour a week. So if you have signed friends up and they no longer come as frequent, please call them and invite them out! In the last several months, the men and women of the Moose worked very closely together, as they should. I am very proud of our joint accomplishments. Never try to divide us; we are tough to beat as a team! One very important date is on the calendar! Mark your calendar and come on out on July 12 from 5:00 8:00pm to VOTE for Smoking or Non-Smoking in Lodge! Please respect everyone and how they feel in this vote. Smokers please know that IF the vote goes for the lodge to be Non-Smoking there are plans to create a place for smokers to go both inside and outside to smoke. Rest assured that we are committed to making sure that comfortable accommodations will be made as soon as possible if the vote goes that way. Mark your calendar the Mooseheart girls from the NC House will be visiting lodges in the state. We are not sure at this time which lodges they will visit but we will keep you posted. Measures are being taken with Safety and Security of the Lodge. We are installing a card reader on the front door (like we have on the side door). So please make sure that you carry your card at ALL times so you can get in. Please also know that ANYTIME you enter the social quarters you MUST show your card to the Bartender. This is not a Moose law it is an ALE law. So when you enter using your card go one up to the bartender and show her your card! Let s all be PROUD Moose Members! The bartenders are just doing their job when they ask to see our cards. Let s respect them! Remember that the LOOM meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and 2nd Tuesday is joint pot luck dinner and meeting everyone is welcome to come to pot luck dinner! Come on out and have a voice! My best to each of you and please remember to do a GOOD DEED for someone each day! Your Govenor, Tim Campbell

Moose Legion News WHAT IS THE MOOSE LEGION? We are always talking about the Moose Legion but just what are Moose Legionnaires and what are they all about? The Moose Legion is made up of dedicated members of the Loyal Order Of Moose that are always looking for ways to improve the Moose Fraternity. Moose Legionnaires take the responsibility to assure that their Lodge remains prosperous and continues to increase in membership they assume the role as guardians of their Lodge. Moose Legionnaires do fund raisers; and, the monies earned are used to fund various Lodge projects. Moose Legionnaires have periodic social functions that are for Moose Legionnaires and their families only. Part of a Moose Legionnaires annual dues goes to support various needed projects for our Children at Mooseheart and to helping our seniors at Moosehaven. One of the most funded project is providibg monies to help send Mooseheart children to Camp Ross. Camp Ross was established by the Moose Legion. The Moose Legion s Mission is to have fun while providing a greater service to The Moose Fraternity. Their Goal is to encourage all qualified Moose Members to join The Moose Legion. Their Creed is to do some good thing-- for someone-- each day. To become a Moose Legionnaire, a potential member must meet the following criteria: He must have completed six months of Moose Lodge membership or have sponsored at one member into our Great Fraternity. So please consider joining! If you are not a member and would like to join please see Tim Campbell or Ron Hefner and they will be glad to help you! Our next Moose Legion Celebration will be July 9 & 10 at the Hillsborough Moose Lodge! So Sign- ups for Beans & Cornbread on Monday nights needed. Help to keep this social event ongoing. 2 make your reservations today! We hope to see you ALL there! Our New Garden Moose Legion members and their wives will be having a special meal in the very near future. The date is to be determined and will be announced. Moose Legion members attend our monthly meeting which is held on the first Tuesday of every month immediately following the general membership meeting. Please plan on attending, bringing suggestions and ideas and most of all come be involved! David Cothren, Moose Legion Chair QUEEN OF HEARTS GAME HAS MOVED TO FRIDAYS AT 9PM. THE QUEEN IS STILL UP FOR GRABS AND THE POT IS GETTING BIGGER! CONTACT THE LODGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

FROM THE SENIOR REGENT S DESK Greetings to all WOTM members, I hope everyone has a great 4th of July, remember it s our Independence Day. Let s not forget all those who have fought to gain and keep our freedoms. Our Lodge was closed so that our employees and members can have a great family day! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer as well as a safe one. It is the time for family travels and fun times. I would like to say welcome to all our new members. I hope to meet a lot of you in the coming year and have a chance to get to know you. Please convey any concerns and ideas that you have to me or any of the Board members. It is our desire to have as many of you involved as possible. Currently, we are working/ planning with the LOOM members to host a variety of activities that will increase attendance in the Social Quarters. So if you have ideas please let us know! We would like some volunteers to come and help out on Thursday nights at bingo. We need help in the kitchen and we need help walking the floor. Remember without us to support Mooseheart and Moosehaven and our Community Organizations they wouldn t be able to make it. I hope everyone joins to help. These organizations depend on us. Ladies we continue to need volunteers for the WOTM Friday night dinners. Any money earned goes into the WOTM general fund for special projects or needs. Please come out on Friday nights and show your support to both the LOOM and WOTM. We work hard to cook and prepare the meals and we need all members to come out and show your support for YOUR Lodge! The Friday night meals are one of our biggest fundraisers! Fundraisers support Mooseheart and Moosehaven and other charities. Please let one of the officers know if you hear of any co-worker who is ill or in the hospital. We would like to send them a card to let them know that we are thinking about them and wish them well. My message of being involved and volunteering can be rewarding and lots of fun. Come to the meetings and find out what events are going on. Remember it takes teamwork not one person to make a success. Stay safe! I ask that you continue to support your Chapter. If you have questions, come to our meetings and ask. We will do our best to answer. Take an active part in your Chapter and volunteer. Remember, this is YOUR Chapter and it is run strictly by volunteers. We would like to see our Lodge return to the fun and friendly fraternal lodge that we all joined. That involves all of us. With the help of everyone, we can restore the unique atmosphere we all have enjoyed. My pledge to you: Under my guidance as Senior Regent 2016-2017 may our Chapter continue upholding our three principles; Faith, Hope and Charity as we strive to make a continued difference at Mooseheart, Moosehaven and our Community. Love & Fraternally yours, Ronda Campbell BINGO! BINGO! BINGO! BINGO! BINGO! BINGO is still going strong. Our Early Bird games start at and our regular program starts at 7:00pm, with 14 games with prizes ranging from $50.00 to $500.00. We are always in need of volunteers to help with Bingo- from picking up cards to calling back numbers. It s a fun way to volunteer at your lodge. Looking forward to y all coming to play Bingo with us!!!! *****ATTENTION***** The BINGO menu has now changed. NOW SERVING Hotdogs, Hamburgers & Cheeseburgers, Chips, Crackers, Nachos & Cheese, Candy Bars & other sweets will be available ************************ 3
