Note from the Course Director Dear Course Participant, The National Institute of Robotic Surgery at Mercy Medical Center is proud to announce the 7th annual minimally invasive robotics course Advanced Pelvic Anatomy through the Eyes of the Robot. This symposium is focused on keeping surgeons at the forefront of advancements in robotic surgery. We believe bringing together expert course faculty and attendees from around the country will generate open discussion and knowledgeable insights. Robotic surgery is becoming the surgical option of choice for many patients and a key component in providing leading edge patient care. The course faculty, composed of renowned robotic surgeons, will share their expertise and experience on advanced techniques used in robotic gynecologic surgeries. This engaging two-day symposium will feature two live cases including a single-site hysterectomy and a multiport retroperitoneal hysterectomy. Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on lab involving tissue containment and extraction. Topics for the course include: robotic cerclage, robotic surgery treatment for common gynecologic conditions, complications of robotic surgery and challenging robotic cases. I look forward to seeing you November 10 11, 2017 as, together, we explore robotic surgery and advanced pelvic anatomy. Sincerely, Dwight D. Im, M.D., FACOG Medical Director The Neil B.
