Mission At ProAction Cops & Kids we believe that establishing a positive relationship between cops and kids will promote a mutual respect and understanding that strengthens our community today and for the future.
ProAction Cops & Kids In 2016, ProAction celebrated 25 years of funding police-led youth programs. ProAction partners with police services in Toronto (1991) Durham Region (2007) Hamilton (2008) and Niagara Region (2014)
ProAction Cops & Kids ProAction is independent from any police service, however, each service is a partner and officers are core to our programs.
ProAction Cops & Kids In Durham Region alone, ProAction has Partnered with 600 Durham Officers Engaged over 12,000 Durham youth Distributed over $340,000 to support 127 programs.
2016 Key Acheivements Record setting year in fundraising raising over $115K to support policeled youth programs in Durham. Thanks to ProAction s Durham Council Members for their leadership and to our donors, sponsors and community supporters for their generosity.
4 th Annual Fundraiser Jeans and Jewels Dance The 2016 Jeans & Jewels raised $35,000 for Durham Police youth programs. Guests enjoyed an evening of great food, local talent, dancing and a memorable silent auction.
Celebrating 10 Years Jeans and Jewels Dance Please join us on February 11, 2017 for our 5 th Annual Jeans & Jewels where we will be celebrating 10 years of funding police led youth programs in Durham.
Annual Bowling Fundraiser Heading Down the Right Lane The 2016 Bowling event raised over $12,000 for Durham Police youth programs. A record setting number of program youth participated in this year s tournament. Please join us on June 8, 2017 at NEB s Funworld for ProAction s 9 th Annual Bowling Fundraiser.
John Strange Memorial Golf Tournament The 3rd Annual John Strange Memorial Golf Tournament was hosted at Lakeridge Links Golf Club on June 14, 2016 and to date has raised over $36,000 for ProAction s Durham chapter.
McHappy Day ProAction was generously named as a charity of choice sharing proceeds from McHappy Day with Ronald McDonald House for the second year in a row. Thanks to McHappy Day over $25,000 was raised for ProAction s Durham chapter.
ProAction Programs When developing a ProAction program, officers are encouraged to consider the needs of their division and share their interests and passions with youth. Programs include: Sports Camping Arts Cooking and many more.
