About Stand Up To Cancer STAND UP TO CANCER S MISSION IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO ACCELERATE THE PACE OF GROUNDBREAKING TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH THAT CAN GET NEW THERAPIES TO PATIENTS QUICKLY AND SAVE LIVES NOW. SU2C brings together the best and the brightest researchers and mandates collaboration among the cancer community. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, SU2C has set out to generate awareness, educate the public on cancer prevention, and help more people diagnosed with cancer become long-term survivors.

SU2C Facts Since inception, Stand Up To Cancer has funded more than 1,100 researchers across 131 institutions and has planned, launched or completed more than 160 clinical trials. Stand Up To Cancer is currently working with more than 130 leading health and medical institutions across the nation. In May 2009, SU2C launched its first five scientific Dream Teams. Today, 19 Dream Teams and 2 Translational Research Teams are already hard at work, driven by the same principles that laid the foundation of the Stand Up To Cancer model: THEIR GOAL: COLLABORATION, INNOVATION, ACCELERATION, AND TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH.

Fundraising Incentives FIRST & SECOND PLACE: Exclusive ticket to Stand Up To Cancer telecast and after-party on Friday, September 9. Winners will have a day of being pampered, including makeup by celebrity makeup artist Christy Coleman, Head of Innovation at Beautycounter, hair styled by a professional hair stylist, and an outfit curated by a fashion stylist. Coach airfare provided by American Airlines. Accommodations provided by Beautycounter. THIRD PLACE: A personal skin consultation and color makeup matching with Christy Coleman, Head of Innovation at Beautycounter and $525 worth of Beautycounter products. WEEKLY PROMOTIONS: Each week, the Beautycounter Consultant who raises the most donations will receive a Beautycounter product package retailing at $250. Once logged in, you ll be able to see your page. 5. To add a photo or post an update, use the Edit Fundraiser tab and follow the instructions. 6. Now you re ready to fundraise. Share your page on Facebook or Twitter using the links under your photo, or copy and paste the link in your browser into an email.

Tips for a Successful Social on a Mission BOOK A SOCIAL ON A MISSION (or several!) during the month of July. This partnership is a great reason to reach out to past and potential hosts and schedule a meaningful Social. INVITE Social guests to make a donation to your fundraising page in addition to purchasing products (as outlined in the Social on a Mission document). LEVERAGE SOCIAL MEDIA networks by sharing your fundraising link and the provided social media assets. EMAIL your friends and family inviting them to donate, explaining why you support the great work of Stand Up To Cancer. DONATE a portion of sales. Some Consultants may decide to donate a portion of their sales to Stand Up To Cancer; however, it is up to you to decide which mechanism you are most comfortable with.
