1 Low back pain Ayurvedic Treatment Low back pain is very common health problem after 30 years of age. Most of the times back pain in early stage is get neglected & becomes chronic if not treated within 6 weeks. There are many reasons behind low back pain which includes back muscle strain, intervertebral disc prolapse (IVDP), obesity, bad posture, arthritis, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, spondylitis etc. Some examinations & investigations like MRI, X-Ray, blood tests are necessary for diagnosis. Old Ayurvedic books have mentioned all these pain in the name of Katigraha. Kati means low back & graha means stiffness & pain. Most of the times it causes due to vitiated Vata dosha along with other doshas. Ayurvedic treatment mainly focuses on treatment of Vata dosha which includes Panchakarma like- Basti- is said to be half treatment of Vata dosha hence proven very effective in low back ache, only basti treatment can reduce disease upto 50 to 60%. Kati basti, Snehana-svedana ( ayurvedi massage), pizhichil. Patra pottali sveda are also effective in low back pain. Medicines like Guduchi, Rasna, Shallaki, Guggulu etc. are also very effective which are selected according to condition, prakriti & used in various formulations to treat disease. Ayushman Bhava ayurveda is specialty clinic for ayurvedic treatment of Low back pain. Kerala specialty medicines are proven more effective in Low back pain.
